No Fridge!

I'm really bummed because I REALLY ENJOY going to A.C. and staying at The Showboat because it was in the middle of everything. They are doing small renovations when they can and I had a newly renovated room, but I HAD NO REFRIGERATOR. That, plus there was only ONE "working" ice machine in the Bourbon Tower. Two room buckets and it was empty and would not refill for about another 12 hours. Still had a good time in A.C. but was very disappointed in the Showboat.

We booked through Expedia and my reservation was paid in full. When we arrived I was told I had to pay a $180 deposit and the next day I would get $150 of it back. I asked why I wasn’t getting the full amount back and was told because I booked through a 3rd party. Had no idea the hotel was adjacent to a water park. No idea it was a pet friendly hotel. We were in Room 505 in the Bourbon Tower right near the elevator. Loud hallway noise and barking dogs all night long. Hotel was old and rundown. Will not go back.

Hotel is old and dirty. Needs a complete overhaul. The clientele was just horrible. Hookers and loud nasty people. The tub in the bathroom was filthy, the rugs are smelly and dirty and the balcony had cigarette butts all over it. The room was way overpriced.

Internet wifi was spotty at best. Ice machines on every floor were out of order. The hotel appearance overall could use some upgrades (feels kind of old and dingy). Waterpark is fine (wish it was a little bigger with more rides for older kids).
