Front desk clerk was missing for over 15 minutes when we arrived at 4pm to check in. He came back to tell the line of people he needed to get his food. Same guy told us that we had to check every floor for ice when we asked if he knew where there might be ice since the 6th, 7th and 8th floors were out. He couldn’t be bothered. Watched him roll his eyes at a woman asking for toilet paper at the front desk. The parking….OMG! It used to be awesome and you’d get a ticket that let you in and out. They now have everything done through your phone which means every time you leave the garage, you’re texted and asked to pay $84 but you actually don’t have to pay anything. But you do have to get out of your car while it’s sitting at the gate and try to find someone, ANYONE, that works in/at the garage, which takes a good 20 minutes at best.

My stay was okay, all the staff were super friendly. However, I did pick this hotel for the hot tub amenity and after walking around Baltimore all day, we came back to enjoy the hot tub and i kid you not there was a woman with 10 kids all under the age of 10 in this hot tub…. We did see a staff member go over to her but she made no attempt to get her kids out of the hot tub. For the record, i too have kids but common sense would tell me not to let my kids splash around in a hot tub that they’re not supposed to be in especially when there were other guests besides us that would have liked to have gone in. I just wished this could have been taken care of.

The staff were very friendly. Perfect location for the harbor as it is right across the street. Ballpark was an easy walk, 10 minutes at most! I would definitely recommend and stay again. The only thing that would have made this over the top would be to add free breakfast!

Great location

Bar closed early each night we were there and bartender was not super friendly when we walk in. Rooms were large, clean and comfortable. Area was perfect and seemed safe. Ran around the harbor in the morning and it was great! Ate at Miss Shirley’s and it was pricey but good 😍. Hotel was walking distance to everything we did! 10 minute walk to oriels stadium. Front desk guy was so nice and the cleaning lady was friendly. Try Joey’s pizza!!! Yummy!

Awesome Stay at the Royal. Did not dissapoint. In walking distance to Harbor & anything that way. Trai at the front desk was super professional but very helpful & made us feel welcomed & Taken Care of. Met a former employee Annette who was also super nice . Just a Great Stay, Wonderful Hotel, & hoping we can make more trips to the Royal Sonesta!

It was very nice easy to get in and out everything was convenient to get to and walk to felt safe will totally do it again staff was pleasant and knowledgeable about the area.
