Great base for seeing the sights

Stayed for a week with a Chinese friend. Surrounding lane-ways are part of old Beijing and it's near the Drum Tower. Bus stops two minutes away, subway 5 minute walk. Staff pleasant but with little English. Hassle-free stay

Beijing getaway

This hotel is great. When you see it from outside it looks very dingy but inside I was pleasantly surprised. The rooms were spotless and were cleaned everyday. Free soap, shower gel etc which I wasn't expecting from a budget hotel. It was the Mid-Autumn festival so we received free moon cakes in our room. The area around here is nice, there are a lot of nice little cafes, bars and restaurants to explore. A short walk away is Hou Hai along the lake which is great for nightlife and souvenir shopping. I recommend the Reggae bar there, they had a really awesome live band. You can even haggle the price of drinks at some of the bars when it's near closing time. The metro is close to the hotel. However, the directions I found online where completely wrong so it was difficult to find. If you can find exit G from the metro it's much better. Just go straight from there and it's one of the first hutongs on the left (opposite McDonalds and the youth hostel) The youth hostel bar is also very cheap and has special offers on every day. The only negative thing about this place is the staff. The guy on the front desk was quite rude and very abrupt with us when we asked about great wall tours. He was no help at all so we decided to book through another tour company.

Really good location

Really good location in old Beijing.A bit alarming when we first got out of cab,but then the hotel was friendly and we realized that we could,nt have found anywhere better to get a real insight into the people and living conditions of old Beijing.Everyone was really friendly and we felt totally at ease and unthreatened.we can recommend.

Zweckmässig, dafür Preisgünstig

Bei Ankunft war der Receptionist wohl überfordert er wusste von unserer Ankunft nichts. Fand meinen Namen nicht. -- Wir waren nicht die Einzigen mit diesem Problem. --- Die Dusche war enttäuschend. Es hatte gerade mal einen Abfluss im Boden keine Duschwanne und auch keinen Vorhang. Wenigstens hatte es warmes Wasser. ---- Sauberes Zimmer, angenehmes Bett und warme Decken.

halpishotell

En ole kovinkaan vaativa hotellien suhteen, koska käytän vain nukkumiseen mutta silti yhdeni yön 2vko aikana joutui käydä lepäämässä muussa hotellissa. Esimerkiksi suihku oli säädetty niin pienelleen, että suihkussakäynti kesti tunnin. Vedensäästö tuskin hotellilta näin onnistuu. Huoneet pieniä, ja ehkä alkuperäiskunnossa. Itse laittaisin 5eur/vkr lisää, mutta kyllä Zaoyuanju:ssakin lepää. Hieman hankala löytää(kujilla), mutta juuri siksi ei paljoa liikennemelua. Miksiköhän tällä hotellilla useita nimiä? Viereinen Mc Donalds antoi väärennetyn 50rmb, 99% varmuudella koska olin juuri tullut kiinaan ja ostanut vain junalipun sekä mc donals aamiaisen. Aamiaisen jälkeen otin 50rmb setelin taskusta maksaakseni kahvin(toinen 50rmb joka jäi junalipusta oli lompakossa). Ei kelvannutkaan vaikka sanoin että juurihan tämän teiltä sain:) heh. Nalkkiin jäivät, mutta tappio jäi minulle koska en heti sitä huomannut:) No, jossainvaiheessahan väärennöksiä olisi kuitenkin kokemattomalle tullut, mutta tuon jälkeen ei ainakaan minulle.

gute Lage

gute Lage nahe zu Metrostation und billiges Essenplätze, das Zimmer war relativ sauber aber das Bettwäsche hatten Haare, englischsprechende Staff aber sehr wenige Informationen fur independent Reisende

emplacement idéal pour visiter beijing ; a 200 mètres d'un station de métro et très près du centre. point négatif : aucun ménage de la chambre et salle de bain ; durée du séjour 11 nuits

nettes einfaches Hotel in Top-Lage

Nettes Hotel mit landestypischer Ausstattung. Das heißt, im Zimmer ist alles, was man braucht, man darf im Bad aber nicht zu genau in allen Ecken nachschauen. Das Personal an der Rezeption spricht halbwegs englisch und ist sehr bemüht. Die Lage in einer ruhigen Seitenstraße ist durch die Nähe zur U-Bahn, zu vielen preiswerten Lokalen sowie Geschäften in der Gulou E St oder Nan Lu Gou Xian excellent. Auch der Qianhai ist nur einen Katzensprung entfernt. Daher eine absolute Empfehlung für alle, die abseits von den Mainstream-Touristen wohnen wollen und vielleicht sogar etwas chinesich sprechen.
