The room is spacious. Would be nice to have a fridge (I don't need minibar, but fridge can be useful). The lighting can be a bit more also. The staffs are mostly very friendly.

Hotel is in a really good area with Checkpoint Charlie very close by, close transport links and a good amount of food and drink options nearby! Room itself was very spacious and service was great.

We're a family of 4, and we booked a room with "one bed and a double sofa bed" however, upon arrival we were told the room was only for 3 people. Our child is 7 years old and they counted him as adult for the room occupancy, even though their website states otherwise. We told the receptionist to just charge us an extra person and he refused. We were forced to upgrade to a "bigger room" for and additional $260 euros, which also had "one bed and a double sofa bed." We were given the exact same room we had booked, and they only provided additional towels and blankets. We know this because the receptionist handed them to us. We felt like we were taken advantage of. The room was clean but the breakfast is not included and it is expensive ($25 euros per person). We were able to find better breakfast options for our family only a block away from the hotel for $10 euros. Also, the cleaning staff will leave the windows open even though it's -4 degrees outside.

Mercure Hotel Berlin – Highly Recommended We had an amazing stay at the Mercure Hotel Berlin. The rooms were absolutely spotless, the staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming, and the location couldn’t have been more central for exploring the city. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice each morning. This hotel really made our trip and we’d happily stay again.

The hotel is decent for short trips and exploring the city. I was a bit disappointed with the amenities in the room, the beds were two singles made up as singles and put together with a large uncomfortable gap in the middle. Bed wasn’t made up as a double bed, the pillows were flat and lumpy like they hadn’t been replaced for ages. TV was pretty dated and really far from the bed. Overall I just thought the details of the hotel and room were a bit lacking especially for a 4 star hotel. I though the impression of the room was “that’s fine” and they didn’t really pay any attention to the finer details. Tea and coffee selection in the room was quite limited and looked really cheap, only sachet milk as well. The staff were really nice and the rooms were clean and functional for what I needed but I wasn’t that impressed.

Superb location - can walk to key things within 20 mins. Room was ready early when we arrived which wasn’t expected but was a real bonus! Super bed for a double and sofa bed. All necessary facilities including fridge, separate WC to shower room, coffee machine etc. Even a small balcony. Only minor points is hotel bar only opens from tea time and no English tv channels other than news.
