I am incredibly impressed by Mercure Budapest Korona. I booked this trip to celebrate my husband’s 50th birthday on 21st October & I let the reservation team know about this in advance. We arrived the hotel quite late, however the receptionist is very helpful & quickly checked us in. As soon as we opened the bedroom door, we saw a beautiful birthday cake with card on the table. I am so overwhelmed for what they have done for my husband & my husband is so happy. This is very special for us and we did not expect this at all. The hotel is modern, clean and locates in a nice area which is near many good restaurants, pubs, coffee shops. It is also in a great location for commuting around Budapest as it is just 1 minutes walk to the bus stop, trams and metro station. Bus 100E from the airport also stops at the bus stop opposite to the hotel, this is so convenient. Staff at the reception, bar and house keeping are so friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay & will definitely come back here again. Thank you for everything Mercure Budapest Korona Team 😊

Due to current building / renovation work, I have marked down slightly. Once complete, I would expect to give a better mark. Staff very helpful, very polite. Breakfast each morning excellent. Would stay there again in future. Very good location.

I liked the location of the property as transport was easy and the area was nice. However the bathroom had an awful smell before we arrived and fluctuated with how bad it was throughout our stay. It was too bad during the first 2 days because we were not really in our room much but on the 3rd day the sewage smell became unbearable but luckily we were checking out! Paint on the walls was missing and plug sockets were located very awkwardly. Also the swimming pool opening hours were disappointing on week days. Overall staff were friendly and very kind.

They offered me a room which is not the same as the pic (old and dark). When I returned to the reception and asked for a reason, they said the pic is only for advertisement and I can only have that room becos I booked a single room. I booked this hotel becos it looks new and there is a Nespresso coffee machine in the room. I didn't have a hair dryer in the room and I had to get one from the reception. Their attitude was not acceptable, they wouldn't want to change my room to the one as in the pic until I told them I will send the pic to ebookers and filed a complaint.

Hotel was fine and good central location. Our room was on the street side, it was noisy. Lots of trafik and police/ambulans made a huge noice. Otherwice very good room and good breakfest.

Friendly staff, good location

We stayed here as we were visiting the Christmas markets. We decided on this place as it had a spa and swimming pool, which unfortunately wasn’t open for most of our stay :( The staff were friendly however, and the room was cleaned well daily. We booked a suite and were in a privilege room which meant snacks from 5-8 and alcohol included. Whilst we were staying it was a 50th celebration of Accor hotels, so cake and lunch and snacks were served at the front of the hotel. Room service was good and arrived in a timely manner. Overall a great stay, and would definitely recommend.

Das Hotel ist mit der Metro, dem Bus, dem Tram und zu Fuss schnell und einfach zu erreichen. Nicht ganz ruhig. Das Personal sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Zimmer eher klein, aber gut eingerichtet, sauber und das Bett mit Decke und Kissen hervorragend. Jeden Tag eine neue Flasche Wasser im Zimmer, Tee und Kaffee... Das Frühstücksbuffet sehr ausgiebig und fein, einzig der Kaffee nicht gut... Gerne wieder.
