Service was excellent.Very helpful when asking for amenities. Staff was super helpful and accommodating. The room was kept clean.most important was the water pressure and consistent warm to hot showers. Minor complaint was the need to ask for toilet paper as toilet paper was very thin and didn’t last long. But overall, rating was excellent for Watergate hotel in Butuan

Always not enough seating at breakfast. 1 person sitting at a 6 person joined tables. Inside very cramped, couldn't walk around, people standing in the isles so you couldn't get through to the drinks. Staff did nothing to try to keep the isles clear. Staff not clearing off tables soon enough. Breakfast food trays were always empty or almost empty, not being refilled soon enough. People reserving chairs at table for people who never came - example this morning, 1 couple reserved a 6 person table saying they had friends coming. 1/2 hour later 2 people came in the mean time, there was no place to sit. Dinner was excellent and dinner service was excellent.

BAD Parking. The Hotel shares its parking with many small businesses. End result there is almost no parking available when you check in to this hote..I will choose another hotel based on this lack of parking

The staff were fantastic, but the noise level was too much. Forget about sleeping in, loud talking everywhere starts at 6 AM. one night I had to call the front desk to complain about loud talking and laughing at 11 PM just outside my bedroom window. I was also charged when I requested an extra sheet, because the comforter was too hot. I've never been charged at other hotels for extra pillows, blankets, sheets, etc.

I love yhe Watergate Hotel from friendly & accommodating staff to clean room and aircon filter was clean because i did not have sinus allergies. Overall it's a great place to stay myself or with family. I will definitely come back again when im in the Philippines 🇵🇭
