We didn’t get to truly enjoy the beach because of all the Seaweed, we know it’s part of nature but they could try and clean it up a little bit more frequently although they said they clean it up every morning, it didn’t appear so.

Very disappointed. Does ti have to say is DO NOT come to the gulf in May/June because it is seaweed season. Do you research! Beaches were not swimmable!! Hotel is extremely old. Spend a little bit more and get a nicer, newer hotel. Staff is great until you tell them you don’t want to do the timeshare. Then they are extremely rude and not helpful. Food/drinks are terrible. Everything is the cheapest version of anything you want. I think the chicken was fake. We all got sick by the 2nd day. Make sure you pack everything you will need. Sunscreen is $45. Tylenol is $27.

Great service! The walkout rooms have their own cabanas!!! The restaurants do have time frames. They have daily yoga, water exercises, volleyball games, music. The pool is right next everything as it’s in the center. Life guards on beach. Bar on beach. The only complaint is that the bars start at 11am. If you go to eat breakfast at a restaurant they do have drink options. They offer taxis so you can go anywhere! 10 mins or less to go shopping, excursions. They do offer excursions at the resort to make it easy to go! Definitely will return. They have a different activity nightly! Makivio from the cabana/pool, Gloria, and Freddy are the best!! We had a beautiful experience. It was my first time taking my daughter out of the country and felt completely safe. The staff remembers you and is good at getting everyone involved! Amazing!! Jesus at the front desk will help with anything!

Dinner at the oriental restaurant was probably our best meal in the hotel. The buffet was average but varied. We missed having dinner at the Mexican restaurant and I was really looking forward to that but we didn’t make it. We tried the lobby bar and the pool bar and the bartenders and staff were cordial but didn’t go above and beyond in making conversation or anything else. The hotel is showing its age and there are lots of small details which could be improved on regarding maintenance from the stickers peeling off to paint chipping off.

We spent 5 night there the property was nice rooms were clean and spacious. The pool was nice, The staff was friendly and helpful. Overall it was a pretty good stay. Cons: the lobby, bar and most of the restaurants don’t use AC the doors are kept open certain spots would have a good breeze but the restaurants were HOT! Let me start with the one negative, the property is a bit rundown BUT the service is top of the line. Very friendly staff, understanding, helpful, they truly go above and beyond. Food was good, I have a strong stomch so nothing affected me. We stayed 4 nights and though it was short, (I'm 7 months pregnant) it was perfect.

We chose this resort since it seemed to be a great value for families. It was! Not too big not too small. The beach was better than most in the hotel zone regarding the sargassum. This resort had the best value for an Oceanfront room, it was awesome. The food was alright but the kids loved it. The restaurants did not have good A/C if it had it at all. The buffet and Italian were indoors both lacking it. Then there was an outdoor restaurant and a few smaller outdoor spots to eat. I wish there were more indoor restaurants. We recommend going to Playa Langosta in Cancun and Playa Norte in Isla Mujeres for awesome beach days with no waves or sargassum. Also, Hyatt bought them out while we were there.

Beach is completely covered in seaweed. I know that’s not their fault but no effort to clear even a path to the water. Water is pretty rough and the beach (under the seaweed) is rocky. Pool is tiny for the size of the place. Rooms are ok, little dated but clean. Bars/service on the beach were good. Restaurants were pretty good. Good, friendly service throughout. Lot of people trying to upsell stuff all over the lobby. MTS was their excursion vendor. They were not very accommodating.
