I spent my vacation at this hotel feb.2026. There were lot of disappointments The first one is food but there not many kinds.it didn't taste good either. Second .i grew up this hotel. Thiird. The service was not good(many employees was desperate to sign up for membership in hotel..even those who aren't membership of the hotel don't want a drink they discriminated) I never want to recommend this hotel.

Great service! Clean comfy room. A variety of restaurants. It would be very hard to navigate for people who have accessibility needs. I was 12 weeks out from hip surgery & had trouble with no bars in washrooms & just getting to beach was 5 flights of stairs! There are ramps but they are steep w/o rails.

Pros- comfortable beds, friendly, nice staff. Attentive to needs or wants when requested. Cons- The attempt at their travel membership, food is almost inedible and cold, with the exception of the fresh omelet bar, drinks are watered down, kids in the “adults only hot tub”, ocean and beach is nice, but could never find a chair for the entire 4 days we were there, never once got to enjoy a beach chair because they were taken very early every morning, dinner reservations have to be made daily at 9 am, the Mexican restaurant onsite is probably the worst food I’ve ever eaten in my life (no exaggeration). Do yourself a huge favor and stay at a nicer place. I have no idea how this place is rated so high on Expedia. The only thing I can think of is either some of these reviews are paid for reviews or people don’t know the difference in a good quality place.

I had a great stay overall. The trip was relaxing, enjoyable, and in a convenient location. I would rate it 79 out of 100. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The king bed was comfortable, the AC worked well, and we always had hot water. The TV had good channels. Housekeeping did not replace our towels for a few days, and we noticed tiny black bugs in the room. Not sure if that is normal, but they were noticeable. Our room location was not ideal because we could hear loud guests in the hallway late at night, which sometimes woke us up. Most staff were friendly and attentive. Service was good in most restaurants, though when busy attention dropped a bit. Food was better than expected, not amazing but not bad. BBQ night at the buffet was good. Breakfast was okay and some items seemed reheated. One restaurant was the weakest, but the sushi spot and La Piña were very good. Fresh hashbrowns were a highlight. Pools were beautiful and the beach was gorgeous even with red flags most days. The coffee spot and jacuzzi pool areas were great. Weather was windy and cooler than expected but still enjoyable. Location is convenient, next to Oxxo, with Dominos and a pharmacy across the street, about 15 minutes from the Isla Mujeres ferry and 20 minutes from the main party area. Expedia VIP felt minimal. Just a labeled section, a $75 credit not stackable, upgrade only if available which we did not get, plus early and late check we did not need. Overall a solid stay.

My recent stay at the Wyndham was truly a wonderful experience from start to finish. The moment I arrived, the staff was welcoming, professional, and attentive, making check-in smooth and stress-free. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with fresh linens and all the amenities I needed for a relaxing stay. I especially appreciated how quiet and peaceful the environment was — it made it easy to rest and recharge after long days. The common areas were spotless, and the overall property felt safe, organized, and thoughtfully cared for. First, you asked!! First room I paid for online in the package was a king size bed. Wasn’t when we were apparently upgraded. Two doubles! I won’t even mention we had to move rooms to another due to toilet leaking all over floor. Not blocked up, overflow from top tank. Second room was promised on our third day due to availability and was promised a king. Nope. Wrong again. We were given another 2 doubles. We gave up. It’s ridiculous. However, bar that, the staff in most areas were amazing. Unfortunately not a satisfactory stay and I will not ever return. Do better. I just wanted to relax and enjoy the sun so we did our best to do so given the issues. Mrs was even more upset. Failing grade!

We received an email the day before arrival offering a complimentary upgrade to a 3-bedroom, 4-bathroom villa as an Expedia Platinum member. The villa itself was absolutely beautiful and was the highlight of our stay. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience was very disappointing. Food: The buffet food was often only lukewarm and did not appear to be kept at food-safe temperatures. Sushi was very good, the taco pool bar was decent, and the Italian restaurant was okay. The steakhouse was disappointing — do not order the ribeye. There was a significant food-poisoning issue during our stay: 3 out of 6 in our group became very ill, and we spoke with many other guests who were also sick. Pools & Drinks: All pools were extremely cold and not enjoyable. Drinks varied greatly depending on the bar — some were good, others poorly made. Staff & Entertainment: Whiskey from the entertainment team was amazing, and a few staff members at the jacuzzi bar were friendly and helpful. However, overall staff morale was very low. Most staff appeared unhappy and disengaged, which really affected the atmosphere. We did not experience the friendly, upbeat service expected at a resort. Entertainment was extremely poor and a major letdown. We spoke with many disappointed guests who said they would not return — and unfortunately, we feel the same.
