Lovely old style inside giving it the historical side off an Inn Staff so welcoming at all times Hot Breakfast choice was great, could do with possibly some cold meat or cheese or yogurts

The staff were utterly delightful and very helpful. The rooms are tired and lots of things need repairing. If you are there in a Saturday you may be able to attend a wedding from the comfort of your own room. It was like the DJ was in the en en-suite but it was quiet after 2300

Nice place, with some minor inconveniences: -window to outside would not close and had a gap, letting in a lot of street noise from the bar across the street -no air conditioning or even a fan...room was very stuffy -lots of flies in the room, maybe from the open window? -no hot water at sink -no suitable surfaces for managing toiletries But we knew this is an old building when we booked, so nothing that was a deal breaker.

We stayed at this hotel for one night as a stopover before making our way to Scotland via ferry. The hotel is dated, much like most of the buildings in the area (we are from the United States and not adapted to older buildings.) Parking for hotel is in a public car park for Carrickfergus Castle across the road. No lifts available in hotel and rooms are upstairs. Overall, the room served the purpose for an overnight stay. The hot, made to order breakfast was delicious before checking out. Staff was friendly and helpful.

This property offers old world charm in an old world neighborhood. The castle is a block away. The staff was super friendly and the dinner and breakfast meals were very good. If you can’t get parking on the street in front of the hotel, free parking is available at the harbor a block away. There is a loading/unloading area in front of the hotel.

Quirky but average accom. Nice friendly staff Quick checkin Heating doesn’t come in till 6pm and goes off during night. Shower not that hot. First time we stayed, the fire was on and it was warm n inviting, next visit the weather was colder but no fire Bar maid screamed at a local which was long and unsettling Bar is patrons by locals so it has a nice I timTe vibe
