Riviera Marriott La Porte de Monaco
"It is an older Marriott Hotel just celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. Location is good, on the Port of Monaco with a few local restaurants plus the one on site (which is average) and one where you have to avoid the pigeons on the outside terrace. The rooms were well furnished (the original dark wood and black work tops seen in Marriotts) but we had air-conditioning, lots of storage space, ironing board and iron plus a useful safe and a large bathroom. The bathroom was of a decent size although the extractor fan didn't work and so we had a steamy mirror. You could walk to Port Hercule in Monaco in about 20 minutes or so but this trip it was too hot so we used Taxi's and to note, it seems to be €25 wherever you want to go and so not cheap. We did use the hotel curtesy bus on a number of occasions, running on the hour, a great asset to the hotel. A good hotel, clean and fairly close to everything, we would use it again. If you have a car, it has a good secure car park."
