Very impressed with the Southern hospitality at The Spectator hotel. Our butler Jim was very attentive to detail and our needs. He was always willing to assist and recommend. The staff and other butlers were very hospitable and welcoming. The hotel was close to the Market and various scenic sites and restaurants in the area. The 20's cocktail bar was always the place to be to have a drink before your night out !!!! Thank you Spectator Team !!!!

Treated like royalty from the moment you pull up to the door. Professional , warm staff in every department. As an avid travelers very few places make you feel the way The Spectator Hotel does . If you want an incredible experience visiting Charleston, SC , I advise you to place yourself in the professional hands of The Spectator. Staff are amazingly friendly and just seem happy to be there! Loved our butler and breakfast delivery was really good. Housekeeping did a wonderful job!! Loved our welcome drink and the shots delivered each evening. Would have liked a bathtub, but Overall an excellent stay!!!

Luxe family retreat in the heart of Charleston

The Spectator was probably the best hotel I have stayed at, even better than The Broadmoor. The service was on point...we were greeted by a butler (Wil) who gave us every bit of information we could want about our stay in Charleston, and his suggestions did not disappoint. We were greeted with a cocktail for my husband and I, mocktails for the girls, plus chocolates, and there was a bottle of wine AND a full, complimentary mini bar with local snacks and sodas and water. The beds were very comfortable, the room was clean and they had umbrellas available at the door, which were definitely needed. It's located in the French Quarter. Tons of restaurants and attractions around. We liked Magnolias and O Bar. If we come back to Charleston I would be thrilled to stay there again. The VIP deal Hotels.com offered ended up being way more generous than I had expected. The wonderful Spectator staff members are why.

The Spectator was everything I imagined and MORE! The amenities (refillable snacks, butler service, bikes) made my experience feel so special and comfortable.
