We didn’t actually stay here. We had a family emergency occur a week prior to our stay and unexpectedly had to travel across the country for a funeral. Despite having purchased the booking protection that was supposed to have allowed us leniency in cancelling, we were refused cancellation and charged the full fee for our room that wasn’t used and was cancelled a week prior. I cannot speak for anything regarding the property, but be advised that even when purchasing a protection plan during booking, you aren’t actually protected from any charges in the event of unexpected cancellations.

Great hotel in River North! Excellent dining opions, LOVED the nightly happy hour and cooked to order breakfast. Beautiful location. Would HIGHLY recommend to anyone looking for a great place to stay in downtown Chicago.

We enjoyed our stay and would stay again. We did run into some issues with our original room and had to switch rooms (the heat wouldn't shut off once on and the smoke detector went off at 4:00am and proceeded to beep enter 45-60 seconds after going off) While the staff did accommodate us to a new room, it took several discussions to get us moved.

We have stayed here many times. Centrally located. Included full breakfast makes it worth it compared to other places. The only thing that would make the property better is updating the shower head style for flow/pressure, i.e. rainfall style.

When I called the front desk, the phone phone rang for five minutes and no one answered, this happened twice. When I went to the front desk, the young man who was behind it was playing a video game on his phone and I had to verbally ask for his attention. Our room was very stuff, even with the thermostat at its lowest sitting. The room was VERY noisy. At 2:00 a.m. there was a very loud knocking at our door (hard enough to cause the room to shake.) This continued on and off for several minutes (at our door and other doors near ours. VERY disturbing stay.

Check in was quick and easy. The room was very spacious and clean. The hotel itself is huge inside but not crowed. My favorite part was breakfast. This was the best breakfast spread I've seen at a hotel. So many options. The location is downtown around so shops and restaurants. I highly recommend this hotel
