Nice hotel in a covenient location in downtown Chicago. Don't plan on having leftovers as there is no fridge in the room other than the prestocked one that you are charged (alot) if you even mistakenly remove something. I think there is an option to request a fridge but i did not attempt this.

My stay was clouded by the fact that Expedia advertised a bright well-lit room with three large floor to ceiling windows and that is not what I got, nor did they feel it was their responsibility to correct that. They directed me to the hotel to fix the problem and the hotel directed me back to them. When asked of my stay at checkout I was told, ‘ third parties are tricky’ and that the room I was tricked into buying ‘is an upgrade only and after booking with Expedia, I would have had to call the hotel direct and ask by description (that I wasn’t even aware of) if it was available and how much to upgrade.’ It’s deceptive marketing on both parties’ behalf. My son and fiancé recently passed and I am fighting depression. I spent the majority of my time in the dark room. Per my doctor, I need to stay in bright areas. It affects my mood. It did not accommodate. I chose that hotel/room because of the brightness from the windows. Also, the front desk staff aren’t welcoming. However, room service and the bellhops were very pleasant and helpful.

The property was beautiful and fancy but way overpriced for what it was. I found stains on the sheets, and the floors were NASTY. It left my feet black and full of debris. We requested supplies a few times and they never brought items we asked for. Payed way too much money to stay in a filthy room and not have requests honored.

We checked in after 7pm, our room was not cleaned properly. Both garbage cans full of trash, used wash cloth, soap-shampo all askew, dirty floor in entry way, later found that one of the water bottles seal was broken. Told front desk staff they said they would get the room taken care of and to check back after dinner. Before returning to room, checked back in with front desk, they apologized and said it had been taken care of. When we did get back to our room it was still not taken care of, 3rd trip to front desk about 10pm, another apology and sent the just arrived night manager to clean our room. Following day, house keeper took our 2 towels and only left 1. Still waiting for the emailed invoice 55 hours after checking out to see what fun mini bar charges we received when we didn't use anything from the mini bar. The hotel has some charm and great views, restaurant and coffee bar there are top notch. If you want a no stress place to stay, this may not be the one, don't let the high daily rate make you think you will enjoy your stay.

It was OK. The room was on a the 4th floor overlooking the fire station,which this being Chicago, meaning it was very busy at all hours of the day and night. Nothing like being woken up by loud sirens all night. Absolutely no view either. Check in took forever. Didn't like the overall vibe,place needs a good overall cleaning and new furniture in the restaurant,tables are all scruffed up and old. For $400 + a night you would expect better.The Hyatt is way better for similar money.

Overall the room was a bit dusty with some old loose candy under the bed. There was hair around the sink. Also, none of the outlets in my room worked meaning our refrigerator didnt work, none of the lamps worked. The only outlet that worked was in the bathroom. For the price I paid, I feel this wasn't convenient at all. Furthermore, about two of the towels we received had rust stains on them.
