Checking in was a bit awkward. The woman seemed annoyed. After getting to the room, the mini bar refrigerator was not working properly. I mentioned it to the front desk, this time a man, and he said it was supposed to be at 72 degrees. Obviously this was wrong because I’ve stayed there before and it’s common sense. Upon checking out, the front desk woman was unable to locate my reservation and room number. Not a big deal, but again she seemed annoyed. Three interactions with three different staff members and all three were not good. Since you’re asking for the feedback, I’ll provide it.

Great stay

Very nice hotel in a great location. Definitely recommend. Hope they get the second elevator fixed soon -- long waits to get upstairs is my only complaint. Cool restaurant and bar downstairs and good access to shopping.

When we entered the room, what a great aroma. The room was clean, and warm. There was no microwave, or fridge, which was a negative when staying for 3 days. Even though we ate out we still would have liked to store our extra food. The hand soap was not skin friendly. Our view was outstanding. The bellman gave outstanding service

Room needed some TLC

The hotel is a favorite of my wife and I, even before it became the Thompson. On a recent stay, we noticed that the upkeep and maintenance in the rooms has fallen off. Nothing major, but little things, like a loose faucet, baseboard, crooked wall painting added up to a vibe of a room that needed a refresh. Service was the usual great level, and a new steahouse/pub in the main level seemed to be very popular.
