Wonderful and comfortable spot in the Loop

I would definitely stay here again. The location was fantastic. The room was spacious and comfortable and we had great views of the turrets of the old skyscraper at 35 East Wacker. I had booked back-to-back stays, for a family visit and work, with the first a smaller room than the second. The moment I said my last name at check-in, the desk clerk said, "I know, you'd like to stay in the same room and we've already upgraded you to the larger room for the whole stay." That set the tone. A few improvements: firmer mattresses; the ability to turn off overhead lights more selectively; replace the makeup bench and table in the anteroom with a real desk and desk chair, or even an easy chair and lamp, so one person could work or read there while another used the bedroom. But again, I found this a great place to stay.

The parking deck is around the corner from the hotel with in and out access. A lot of walkable restaurant and attraction near by. The hotel is charming. The roof top bar was very busy and play very loud music that you can hear from the floor below.

It has one of the most beautiful view of the city. The coffee shop and the restaurant are right by the lobby which was very convenient for me. Prices were reasonable as well.

The hotel and our room were very clean and the staff was very friendly. The room had a couple of issues. For one, there was a light not working and an electrical outlet that was very loose and would not hold the plug. Secondly, the tv remote was on a charging cable when we arrived, but even after charging, wouldn't work unless you held the remote right next to the tv. Our biggest disappointment, however, was the breakfast we ordered via room service. The food arrived promptly, but was cold. The biscuits & gravy I ordered came with biscuits that were so stale, they could have been sent to the United Center to be used as hockey pucks in a Blackhawks game. Overall, we were happy with our accommodations. With a bit more attention paid to maintenence in the rooms and more focus on food quality, this hotel would receive 5 stars from me.
