LOVELY, PEACEFUL, PERFECT

WE WERE SURPRISED AT HOW QUIET THIS HOTEL WAS CONSIDERING THAT IT WAS FULL. WE STAYED FOR 8 DAYS AND ENJOYED EVERY DAY DRIVING TO THE SURROUNDING PLACES OF INTEREST. I WISH THAT I HAD NOT READ THE BAD REVIEW THAT SOMEONE HAD WRITTEN ABOUT THIS HOTEL BECAUSE I WOULD HAVE SAVED A LOT OF MONEY THAT WE SPENT ON RENTING A CAR, WHICH WAS QUITE UNNECESSARY, THE TRAIN (TRAM) STATION IS ONLY A FEW MINUTES WALK FROM THE HOTEL. THE BAD REVIEW LED ME TO BELIEVE THIS HOTEL TO BE FAR FROM EVERYWHERE. BREAKFAST WAS BETTER THAN ANY WE HAD HAD IN OTHER EUROPEAN HOTELS, BY FAR. THE STAFF WERE MOST HELPFUL AND VERY FRIENDLY AND THEY ALL SPOKE ENGLISH. AS FOR THE CLEANLINESS OF THE ROOM AND BATHROOM, BOTH WERE KEPT IMMACULATE, EVERY DAY. A VERY WELL RUN HOTEL WITH THE COMFORT AND PLEASURE OF THEIR GUESTS A PRIORITY.

Good honest value for.money

Great bolt hole on the outskirts of Köln within walking distance of the tram station, taking you to the heart of the City. The room was well furnished and clean and the staff very helpful. Some speck (bacon) at breakfast would have been welcomed, but on the whole it was difficult to fault.

Grosszügiges Zimmer, sehr ruhig. Lift vorhanden. Sehr angenehm war der kleine Wasserkocher.

Das Hotel liegt an einer sehr guten Lage und ist ruhig. Die Angestellten sind sehr freundlich gewesen. Das Morgenessen wer sehr lecker.

Vorsicht Abzocke!!

Cons: auf Mails antworten, ans Telefon gehen, Stornierungen ausführen
ich buchte das Zimmer auf der Fahrt zum Hotel über die Ebookers App. Dort angekommen wurde ich darauf hingewiesen, dass ich mich im Datum vertan hatte und meine Buchung erst 2 Wochen später galt. Glücklicherweise konnte ich vor Ort noch ein Zimmer für den Abend buchen. Selbstverständlich bat ich um Stornierung meines irrtümlich in 2 Wochen gebuchten Zimmers. Nachdem ich dies bereits vor Ort tat, probierte ich in den Folgetagen (zur Sicherheit) dies telefonisch zu wiederholen. Hier die erste Enttäushung: telefonische Erreichbarkeit = 0 Ich schrieb also eine Mail, in der ich den Sachverhalt darlegte und abermals um Bestätigung der Stornierung bat. Auch auf diese Mail erhielt ich keine Reaktion. Den doppelten Zimmerpreis habe ich bis heute (knapp 1 Monat später) nicht zurückerhalten. Auch eine Kontaktaufnahme zum Hotel ist bis heute nicht geglückt...
