Convenient Location and Friendly Staff, but Misleading Room Description
I recently stayed at this hotel and found its location to be very convenient — just a short walk from the city centre. The breakfast was excellent, and the staff I spoke with were courteous and helpful.
Unfortunately, my overall experience was impacted by several issues, primarily related to misleading information in the room listing. The room I booked was advertised with a beautiful sea view, but in reality, it overlooked a derelict building. When I raised this at reception, I was informed that only a few family rooms have views. On checkout, I brought up the issue again and was told that room assignments are based on availability and that "you get the room you are given." It was disappointing to later see responses to other reviews where the hotel admitted that no rooms actually have sea views — a clear case of misrepresentation.
Additionally, the listing states that the hotel has a bar, which is not accurate; there is only a vending machine available. The rooms are also advertised as soundproofed, but I experienced a significant amount of noise from both foot traffic in the hallways and street traffic from the main road outside.
While the staff and breakfast were highlights, the inaccurate and misleading descriptions of the amenities and room views left me dissatisfied with my stay. Transparency in advertising would go a long way in improving the guest experience.
