Our room did not have a proper shower cubicle. Due to room being a small rhombus shape the shower cubicle was the same, and was not large enough for someone to shower without hitting the shower bi-fold door. The door did not close properly so every time you shower the water went out the tray all over the small bathroom. The shower hose was split so half the water did not come out the shower head. There's no where to put hand soap at the sink and in the shower there was nowhere to put the bottles of shower products provided. Overall poor set-up. They should not be charging the same rate as other rooms which had a bathtub. The bed had a piece of 2inch thick foam, where the bottom sheet would come off. The hotel itself was located in very central location and staff were friendly. We didn't try breakfast, so unable to comment on that.

Carpet not vacuumed and AC dripping all night

We were there for two nights. When we checked in, the room had not been completely cleaned. The carpeting had not been vacuumed and the air-conditioner dripped loudly on the carpet all night. The person at the desk said there was nothing they could do until morning. The next morning the manager said we could move rooms, but we were on our way out and only had one day in the city so we told her to just have the room cleaned and we would live with the leaking air-conditioner. When we returned that evening, the room had not been cleaned, not even touched. Again they said there was nothing they could do until morning. They gave us an email addres to register a complaint but no one ever replied to us.

The property is in a good location close to transport facilities and is clean the staff are always helpful have used this property over several years and is now showing signs of a needed decorate.

Room was quite grubby in places, carpet very worn and areas in the room, the bathroom was nice and modern seemed to be the only thing that had been refurbished? In a nice safe area, really close to the front and local shops, id say its a 2-3 star rather than 3-4. Id recommend for 2 nights maybe which is what we did, thats probably enough in faro anyway as there isnt loads to do / see.

Great little hotel on the edge of old town. Breakfast is available for purchase but the Pastelaria across the street is amazing…don’t miss out on the pastel de nata and espresso! Everything is completely walkable and we had the best time there! Faro is small town friendly and we’ve never felt safer walking streets and back alleys at night. Take the tuk tuk tour to get an overview of the area and pay attention to the guide…he was a living history book and we had a great idea of what we wanted to see and in what order afterwards. Faro was amazing, you won’t regret your visit or this hotel.
