Clean and cosy away from the maddening crowds

Stayed five nights at this luxurious hotel located in a quiet part of Florence not too far from the river. The staff were friendly and accomodating, the room was clean and the bed very comfortable to sleep in. As one would expect at a 5 star hotel, the drinks there are not cheap! I can't comment on the facilities available to us since we were too busy out and about enjoying what the city has to offer. There was a curious incident when a peach from a bag we bought from the supermarket was stolen by a cleaner. A telephone call to reception resulted in us receiving a bowl of peaches by way of an apology!

Kein 5 Sterne Hotel

Pros: Es war sauber.
Cons: Es entspricht überhaupt nicht einem 5 Sterne-Hotel und deswegen irretiert es auch Besucher, die sich etwas anderes gewohnt sind von 5 Sterne-Hotels.
Location: Es war etwa 1km vom Zentrum entfernt und somit auch nicht in der nähe von den Sehenswürdigkeiten.
Wir hatten einen Aufenthalt für einen Tag in diesem Hotel. Obwohl das Zimmer sehr sauber war, hatte es einen muffigen Geruch wegen den alten Möbeln und Einrichtungen. Die Klimaanlage konnte nicht abgeschaltet werden, also haben wir um den Roomservice gebeten dies zu tun. Dieser kam nicht und wir mussten selber schauen wie wir es hinkriegen sollten. Das Morgenbuffet war relativ klein und auf keinen Fall im Verhältnis zum bezahlten Preis. Alles in allem hat dieses Hotel KEINEN 5 Sterne standard wie man sich das gewohnt sein sollte! Dazu passt auch das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis nicht. Nächstes Mal werden wir entweder in ein modernes 4 Sterne-Hotel oder in ein wirklich schönes 5 Sterne-Hotel wie beispielsweise das Four Seasons in Florenz gehen. P.S. Falls man mit einem zu tiefen Auto anreist, hat man grosse Probleme in die Tiefgarage zu gelangen, da sie sehr steil nach unten gelegen ist (und am besten mit dem Beifahrer schauen, dass man nicht irgendwo anstösst, da gewisses Personal Mühe hat, richtig in die Tiefgarage zu lotsen). Dazu wird einem auch 30€ berechnet pro Übernachtung (also nicht pauschal)!

Traumhaft

Sehr angenehmer Empfang mit Kofferaufbewahrung. Wundervollles Ambiente in der Loggia. Das Zimmer ein Traum mit anspruchsvollen Betten. Das Abendessen im eigenen Restaurant qualitativ sehr hochwertig, gute Beratung. Das Frühstücksbuffet sehr reichhaltig, läßt keine Wünsche offen.
