The property should think about us, who paid for the stay, and not waste our money. They should also allow us to change the date if an emergency occurs. (Emergency = last minute. Not changes ahead of time; that's not an emergency.)

I liked the bed...very comfortable. I liked the breakfast!!! Yum! I did not like how the elevator window was filthy. The ceilings were outdated and dirty in the lobby. Poor first impressions. I did not like the smells of the hallways and in my room. Ick ...weird old moldy scents:( gross! I did not like the sticky spots on the carpet. I did not like the little kids running around the hallway at 7-8AM I did not like the Escape Room music on repeat from the building next door to my room. I did not like the phone not working properly. I did not like room service waking me up because she had the wrong room. I did not like having to ask for shampoo and soap.

Great location

The hotel was a great location in Gatlinburg, located just behind Old Smokey Hollor on River Rd. It wasn’t the fanciest, but it did have comfortable beds, good water pressure for showers, and free parking.

Always an awesome stay at the Edgewater! My favorite. On river road overlooking Little Pigeon River and close to everything walking the Gatlinburg strip. Our room was so relaxing with the balcony over the rushing water overlooking the strip and the fireplace gave us lots of relaxation. Not to mention tbe indoor/outdoor pool, hot tub and firepit!

We stayed here because someone said there breakfast was amazing. And I was very not amazing just regular and if you stay here for more than 3 days they serve the exact thing every day just very disappointed at this from the property. The location is great the accommodations are satisfactory but old.

Very nice but watch out in the parking garage!

The good things: The room and the hotel in general were really nice, and clean, and quiet. We very much enjoyed sitting out on our own balcony and watching the river and the people. There were a good number of food choices for the breakfast buffet. The location was excellent-very close to the main strip of Gatlinburg, just one street over, so it was very easy to walk over. The staff was also excellent. It was very convenient to be able to park right at the hotel in the attached parking garage. The only bad thing: In the parking garage, in the section marked "Tall Vehicles" there was a 10"-12" wide pipe running along one section below the 8' high ceiling, in the back of the parking spots on one side. It was painted white like the ceiling and walls, so it did not stand out, and when we were backing our Suburban in, because the pipe extended down so far, we scratched the top of the liftgate up pretty badly. This pipe should be painted or striped in a different, bright color so that it can be seen and avoided!

This is a very old property—almost historic—so you have to keep that in mind when you book it, as far as the layout and the amenities. It's also badly in need of renovations, and parking can probably be tricky during peak season. With that said, we would stay again...It's just too convenient to get to parkway and all the shops, restaurants, and activities. The staff is great. From the clerks to the maintenance guys, the breakfast crew, and the room attendees. All top-notch people.

Loved everything. Only thing is the pool isnt actually heated as it was freezing & the chemicals of the hot tub burned our eyes but would stay again. Also the entrance to the parking garage the potholes are horrible.

From the moment we arrived, the hotel staff were incredibly welcoming and got us checked in quickly. Parking is a bit tight, but once you’re parked, everything is within walking distance—no need to move your car. The pool area, which includes two hot tubs, was a lot of fun and perfect for relaxing. If you’re traveling with family, there’s plenty to do nearby. We had a riverside town view, and the scenery was absolutely beautiful. Breakfast was delicious and offered a great variety. The only downside was the long wait for the elevator at times, but overall, we had a wonderful stay. I highly recommend this hotel!
