Our room was clean and comfortable. The kitchen had a couple of plates, bowls, cups, utensils and a kettle. Only one med size pot was available, so not much cooking could have been done. The staff was friendly and welcoming.

After staying for a few days in Sultanahmet we wanted to stay in a different part of Istanbul and the Wilson Galata was situated in a shopping and cultural hub. Extremely convenient to get to some great places such as the Galata Tower, the cinema museum and Ä°stiklal Cd which is the main shopping street. There's also a couple of lovely restaurants right nearby, as well as two convenience stores. Just know that this area, like most of Istanbul, is incredibly hilly, so bring good walking shoes and prepare to do lots of up- and downhill excursions. Our room was nice but we had a couple of minor issues with the electronic lock on the door not activating but it seemed to reset itself without needing to get maintenance.
