Our stay at the Erguvan hotel was amazing! It is in such a great location with easy walks to all the main attractions and transport. The breakfast option was great, we waited there while they prepared our room as they allowed us to check in very early in the morning after our long flight. The host was very knowledgeable and he gave us great recommendations for restaurants and how to best get around. He also read our fortune using the Turkish coffee he provided us at check-in. Air conditioner was powerful and the elevator great for those heavy bags! Don’t hesitate to book.

Erguvan Hotel is definitely recommended to stay again because of these. 1. Reception staff is Nice, Friendly and cooperative. 2. Reception staff helps you in booking and also tells you where to go and how to go in Istanbul honestly. They given us complementary breakdown on first day. 3. Breakfast is cheaper in the hotel and it’s recommended as it saves your time for visiting in Istanbul. 4. They also helped us for storage of luggage for a day as we have to go to cappadocia for a day and they really cooperated in that. 5. The view while having breakfast is remarkable as you can see the Turkey from one window . The staff who prepares the breakfast is also very cooperative. 6. Hotel is very near to all the important places to see in Istanbul by walk.

A decent stay with incredibly nice staff as well as a great location. The tv wasn’t the greatest and some of the rooms are slightly old fashioned, however, the newer ones which we luckily got moved to are generally nice.

Our stay at Ergüvan Hotel was excellent, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable yet quality stay in the heart of Istanbul. The staff were lovely, friendly and accommodating - we had our luggage carried up to our room, and we got to choose between a modern hotel room, or a more traditional, Ottoman style room. We went with the Ottoman style room for the atmosphere, and we were not disappointed with our choice. Our room was stylishly furnished and large, and the view of the hippodrome from our window certainly added to the atmosphere. There are plenty of restaurants and amenities around the location, and the hotel is located just down the hill from the obelisks located behind the Sultanahmet Mosque (perfect, assuming you don't mind a 3-5 minute walk up a rather steep hill to get there). An excellent location for visiting Sultanahmet. Just a few minutes walk from the main tourist sites. We did not eat breakfast at the hotel but there are restaurants and cafes nearby. The manager, Selim, was very helpful regarding getting around the city and where to visit. Requests for service were dealt with promptly and well.
