Our Butler Jose Jimenez was doing above and beyond to satisfy owr needs. Ask him to do reservations at each Restaurant and he did it on time, always looking out and asking for anything needed. Top Notch service.

The resort had options for children to have fun and for all ages, the ice cream in the afternoon was very convenient for children, Mike’s coffee a very good option for those who don’t want to have breakfast at the restaurant. The burger spot by the lazy river was a nice options, the staff there was super friendly. The food at the buffet and restaurants was really good. What I did not like it’s the attitude from some employees at the buffet when I requested something, or they would take a very long time to bring what I asked for. The room was cleaned every day however I killed one roach per day, but that didn’t stop us from having a great time and having fun with our family. Thank you.

Disappointing Stay at Ocean El Faro – Poor Service Overshadowed the Experience Our group of nine stayed at Ocean El Faro from July 14–19, 2025, and unfortunately, the experience was far below expectations. While the resort looks beautiful, the customer service across multiple departments was consistently indifferent and unhelpful. Despite booking through Expedia with specific room requests and reconfirming in advance, we were split into rooms across separate buildings. Staff repeatedly responded with “there’s nothing we can do,” only taking action when we insisted on speaking to a manager. Room issues were numerous: incorrect bedding arrangements, undelivered cots, and even needing to move a mattress ourselves late at night with no assistance from passing staff. A serious air conditioning failure one night led to us waiting hours for help, with vague promises and no follow-up. We were finally moved rooms at 1 a.m.—far from our kids—and even then, the promised morning resolution had to be chased down again. The timeshare presentation was another letdown, ending in a short, underwhelming massage that felt misleading compared to what was promised. The only real highlight was the bartenders, who were friendly, efficient, and made a genuine effort with guests. Sadly, repeated service failures and poor communication made this a stressful experience we wouldn't repeat. Not recommended.

My family and I stayed at Ocean El Faro and it was amazing. Our hotel contact Jose Jimenez did an excellent job during our stay by going above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. Our favorite server at the buffet was Hammourabi, always smiling and attentive to our requests. Our favorite entertainer was Carlos Enrique : very funny and friendly and made our kids happy. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely visit again.

We stayed there for 4 nights. The whole experience was wonderful. The place is really big and wide, you will be exhausted by walking but they provide frequent cart services all the time. Amazing food and beautiful events to cheer up the stay.

I liked everything about this Hotel definitely will be back. Starting from the check in all the way to the very last day. My concierge Kevin he made it extremely easy for us. We did everything through him and we din not have to worry about anything he had it all checked for us. I recommend Ocean El faro to everyone that is traveling to Punta Cana! Amazing experience!

El Hotel esta excelente por validad precio, habitaciones esta bien confortables y el staff la mayoria son bien amables y serviciales. El wifi funciona en el 99 % de los itios del hotel y muy bien. La comida en los restaurantes es buena. Rica y productos con bastante calidad y bien elaborados. De las ultimas visitas a punta cana sin dudas el mejor.
