Staff & Service ★★★☆☆ The staff was generally friendly, but the service did not meet expectations for a special occasion. Food ★★☆☆☆ We had higher expectations for the restaurants, which unfortunately were not met. Surprisingly, the buffet offered better quality and a wider range of options than the à la carte dining experiences. Property ★★★★☆ The property itself is beautiful and well-maintained. Bedroom We booked in the Friends and Family section, even though we were celebrating our wedding anniversary as a couple. We were disappointed that the hotel didn’t make any effort to acknowledge the occasion or offer an upgrade to the adults-only area, which would have been more suitable. Although it’s an all-inclusive resort, we chose to enhance our experience by paying for additional services like the spa and wine bottle service. Our concierge was wonderful—very attentive—and even organized a complimentary romantic beach dinner for our final night, which we truly appreciated. The bedroom was tastefully decorated, but we did have some issues: the A/C wasn’t very strong, and the room was consistently humid. There were also areas in need of maintenance, such as poorly patched walls and an unpleasant sewer smell that recurred throughout our stay. Thank goodness for pool time—it made up for a lot. I’ve stayed at their sister hotel before Ocean Sand & Beach resort in 2019 and this one did not disappointed.

I booked a 4 day stay at the property with an swim junior suite, when we first checked in and walked into the room the room smelled like it had been moped with an dirty mop one that’s never been cleaned it literally smelled like it’s been used to clean everything! with the room being freshly clean and us having to already wait 2 hours to check it we overlooked it and just chose to enjoy our vacation, on the 2nd day of us being there housekeeping came while we were out and i’m assuming they cleaned the bathroom but they broke a drainage in there the bathroom literally smelled like a sewage the smell eventually moved to the room we tried opening the balcony door that didn’t work , we called the front desk no one did anything about it. Now on the buffet 0/10 the worst food i’ve ever had i only ate the fruits and drunk the fruit juices for the remainder of my stay, we tried the blue moon restaurant on the 3rd day waited 45 minutes to be seated when we were seated we were completely over looked didn’t get addressed until after 20 mins of sitting , when we did place our order the food came out COLD we couldn’t bother to send it back because at this point of night was definitely ruined. property overall is an 6/10 i wouldn’t go back there , be very aware of scams on the property as well!

I truly love this place and I will go back, but my only setback was I was bit up and I think that they should spray I think that the beds should be sprayed after each visitor because still to this day my legs are filled with bumps my thighs, my arms And I just want them to not let you know nasty visitors comments, bring germs. I pray that these were mosquitoes that beat me up like this. The overall service was excellent and very professional and they kept you smiling. The introduction when you walk into the hotel is so inviting and beautiful it’s breathtaking. The restaurants were amazing the complete set up from front to back of this resort, the only setback again was me being bit up and I’m still itching and I’ve been gone since the 27th and today is 1 May

Wish i could leave a bigger review. It is needed. But i cant. So here is a summary. Check out my google review for more. Check in was rediculous and terrible Grounds were in rough shape Service was very poor Impossible to get coffee Drinks were terrible Food was maybe 3 star Predatory sales tactics by staff Lots of stuff included in other 5 stars is extra They get the 5 star reviews by getting you drunk and convincing you to leave a small personal review for them. It is the google review. They take your phone and select 5 stars for you. Crazy. Been to 7, 5 star resorts on the island. This was by far the worst. Do better.

The kids loved it. Bunch of stuff to do. Food is hit or miss. But the pools are nice, loved the lazy river, and swim up bars. Just wish the pools stayed open later than 6pm. The “app” was nice to see what was going on for the day, just wish they kept it updated and gave a location - the property is really big!

Staff were very kind and welcoming. The spa was great! pool area was fun and entertaining. Food was pretty good. I enjoyed the Dining Hall more than the restaurants. Margarita was good, the Pastor tacos were great! Sakura was fun and enjoyable. Dolce Vita was disappointing. The Dining hall had way better pasta and Italian options. The beach is beautiful!!!! i enjoyed this trip to Ocean el farro very much.

Ill star with all the positives....We really enjoyed our night times at the lobby bar Luis and Hector provided exceptional service. Mike's coffee is also a must, you wont be disappointed. Had fun bowling. The ice cream stand is also a must try. The lazy river is also great. There's alot of walking to be done so be prepared. They do have shuttle buggys which we never used. Now for the negatives......the rooms smelled horrible i did reach out but dont really think anyone came to resolve it. The food is average nothing to brag about. Was disappointed with disco tipped DJ and he never played requested song. The beach was also not that great but there is a cove right next to resort which is nice and calm water for kids.

We recently stayed at Hotel Ocean El Faro in Punta Cana and had a fantastic time overall! The amenities for kids were excellent — our little ones had a blast with so many activities to enjoy. However, the kiddie pool could definitely use some major renovations, as the paint is chipping and it’s showing its age. Thankfully, that didn’t stop us from having a great time. The food throughout the resort was delicious, with a wide variety of options to suit everyone’s taste. Overall, we had a wonderful trip. With some updates to the facilities and a little improvement in management, this resort could easily be top-tier. We would definitely return and look forward to seeing future improvements!
