Disliked: Cleanliness
Came for a week for a wedding and was beyond disappointed with the resort. Having been to other all inclusive resorts, Majestic Colonial was a let down. Some of the disappointments we experienced were:
- odd stains on walls
- shower area dirty
- stains on pillow cases
- no tv directory
- nothing to do after 6pm for kids (need mini golf or arcade)
- pools close extremely early (6pm)
- rooms don’t seem deep cleaned, odd stains in toilet area, counter not wiped down and had someone else’s hair
- AC wouldn’t stay set to what we had it at, would constantly go back up. Had to reset 3-4 times a day
- outlets wouldn’t hold whatever was plugged in, would constantly fall out
- cockroaches (EVERYWHERE)
- service at all bars and restaurants are beyond slow
- “courtesy calls” were made almost every morning and woke us up at 9am, though we never requested a courtesy call
- multiple people from our group had minor sickness due to food/tap water issues
- check in process took over an hour, even though I completed the pre-check in and were staying on the Club side
- items we ordered at dinner (Taino) didn’t come
- food is very mediocre
- mold allllll up in the vents
There were only a ~few~ pros about being here. Some workers interact with you and will remember you when you come back to eat or see a show and it’s a nice personal touch. The teppanyaki was delicious, their massages were wonderful, and there was a party on the beach one night that was fun.
