As positives, the room was clean and tidy, and the bed was extremely comfortable. It’s a very basic place, but parking in free and plentiful, and there are some spots to sit down at the dock and watch a beautiful sunset. We booked a superior suite with pool view, and it was huge! To be honest, unnecessarily so, and it was a weird layout. A lounge/sitting area, then the bed and ‘kitchen’ area (fridge, microwave and random mismatched selection of cutlery, like 1 fork, 1 spoon, 2 knives and a single plate!), the walk through to another seating area and the smallest, most cramped bathroom I’ve ever seen. The bathroom wasn’t in great shape, the bottom of the door was badly broken and dragging on the floor, a cupboard door held closed with self adhesive tape, and a shower curtain that was incapable of keeping water inside the shower. It also had what seemed to be the main air conditioning unit in a wardrobe in our room, which ran constantly and was loud and annoying. The morning we were checking out we were awoken by workmen decorating the outside of the building, banging ladders again our wall, and then started painting the only concrete steps we had to get downstairs, with 75lb suitcases. They did help, but it was a ridiculous situation. The lady who checked us in needs an urgent course in customer service, but there were two ladies present at checkout who we gave some feedback to, and were both very sweet and friendly. We wouldn’t stay here again.

Clean, safe and friendly! We stayed 2 nights and plan to return next spring. Great amenities including awesome spot to watch the sun set. Took kayak out and saw several large crocs so be aware!

The hotel itself was fine, but the employees could use a serious attitude adjustment . I would also prefer to not hear gossip and personal stories from the employee room while I’m laying by the pool. One girl was sharing her whole life and cussing while doing laundry . Not very professional.

Room was clean, nice, and appeared relatively new. Beach front and pier were nice as was accessibility to water activities. BBQ area was run down and could use some updating. Pool could use more shade. Front desk staff could be a little more cheerful. Overall a nice stay.

Very clean room and fabulous bathroom for a property of this star rating. Lovely to sit out by the sea and watch dolphins and pelicans in the water. The room was spacious and liked the fact that there was a ceiling fan as well as air-conditioning. The owner was helpful and accommodating, which the younger member of staff at reception should take note of. An excellent place considering the star rating and price.

Property is old, outdated and dirty. Mold in the shower. Cleaning is only available every three days. We found two cockroachs the last day that we were there. One of the beds had a soft cover on it. The other one was rock hard.

Nothing crazy about the rooms but had all the necessities. Very nice area behind the property looking out over the water. Room was clean and staff was helpful and friendly. For the price compared to other in the area it’s a steal.

When checking in the staff member was not friendly and snarky. The paper work states that staff will not clean or enter your room and to place things you want replaced into a pale outside your door. We didn’t need anything replaced. But on our second day there came back to fresh towels, no problem. Except everything in our room had been touched and moved. Including our clothes, suitcases, electronics, food etc. there was no safe so we couldn’t keep anything in there. It just felt violating that they had touched it all. The dishes had not been cleaned well and there was food stuck on them and one bed was hard a a rock. It appeared that the slats under the bed that were dangling were broken. The table in front of your room is for anyone I guess, we came “ home “ to people sitting and smoking right in front of our door. The good part, is that there was a small private beach. A small peer to watch the sunset on and there was a sweet older couple who seem to be residence there, next door to us. Who made conversation and were kind. It was also central to our boat rental location and the best food at the tower of pizza!

Loved the old-world charm of this small, family-friendly resort. Children loved the safe, warm swimming pool; adults, the kayaks and sheltered areas for gazing at the sea, sky and stars. Guests and staff enjoyed talking with one another and sharing recommendations. Would happily return.

This was right on the water. They let us take out their kayaks and we saw manatees, dolphins and maybe a gator as we paddled around. Bed was comfy. Staff helped us. Very close to Sunset Beach where a whole gang met every day at sunset and sang as they watched the sun go down.
