We were on a budget and had not travelled in 12 years. We don’t need much, the room was good, but pot smoking in some rooms.Then at noon the pool had a homeless guy bathing in the pool cleaning his crotch and socks and proceeded to do crack 2 times before we could get security. 10 mins later a guy hopped the fence to do the same. He had stolen runners he was getting ready to wear. He was swearing at me because I called security again. Ugh- it ruined our sunny pool day holiday at the pool, vs so cold at home. No security cameras at all at pool to prevent these issues. Some staff were nice, some were telling us “it’s not my job”. Casino was ok, rooms ok, maids nice. Manager said, because I didn’t come to complain right away, he didn’t think it was an issue, however, I told the front end staff I was so upset and wanted to talk to someone. I’d prefer not to be dragged to the casino floor in my bathing suit in front of all to see to tell how disgusted I was and in shock! We sat in shock, wondering what to do instead of our 2 days at the pool. They seem to not care about customers. Might have been bought out…? Demolish it and they don’t care?

Centrally located hotel with no resort fees

Even though the hotel is older, the room was very comfortable and clean. I liked the fact that it was a smoke free hotel (even though the casino isn't). The elevators however need to be upgraded as they didn't always open properly. I wish the ice machine on my floor was working as well. The location is great as it was close to a monorail station, which was helpful in the over 100° weather. The Walgreens next door and the refrigerator in the room helped with that too. It would have been nice to have a microwave as well, but you can't have everything. I'd stay here again even with the wonky elevators as the hotel is only 4 floors. I also appreciated the fact that you could opt out of having your room cleaned every day.

The best kept secret for staying on the Las Vegas strip. This location was the most convenient. The property was clean and spacious. Parking was included (behind the Walgreens/Denny's). I will return again!

It's what you pay for, cheap, clean, but nothing special. It's an old, old hotel and there's nothing great about it but it does the job on a budget. Probably worth spending the few extra dollars and staying at the flamingo though.
