Run down property seems like an old time share. Furniture is decent in rooms but ac seems to be old and not good enough to keep the rooms cool and with low humidity. The algae problem makes it not worth it to visit during algae season and definitely not worth paying a room upgrade because you are in front of the beach with the stank of rotting algae. Major issues with property are ac in rooms not working properly and no elevators. Service of course is amazing, it is Mexico!!!…the property is just not in line with the quality of people they have

The food was very good. The staff at check in were not friendly and told us we would get a tour of the hotel and never got one. The room was hot, no AC was working and the beverage friedge was not working, sliding door was open amd broken lock.

Loved our villa, but besides the resort was only ok. Some staff we re wonderful, others felt like you were bothering them when you asked them for anything. The acrobatic show was great. the pool was on the hotter side due to it being August (understandable but wish they would’ve pumped cold water into it), and the beach was not usable due to the sargassum, but again that is not the resorts fault.

This resort has the best service and really good drinks! They make your stay very welcome and friendly and made my room very clean to stay. There are some things to look out for which is the beach was full of this brown stuff (I can’t say if it was seaweed or not) that normally in the hotel zone they would bulldoze out but here they didn’t and so a strong fragrant smell of that sargassum made it difficult to stay. We also couldn’t go into the beach water because of it. Another is the food. This is for the dinner restaurants. You have to wait so long for the food to come out just for the food to not be good and I basically had to pick at it. I came in hungry but barely ate and left full. Besides those two things the resort was great but unfortunately those were two major things that the resort should focus on.

I saw the bad reviews before going to Dreams Sapphire but thought it was just picky people complaining. Unfortunately, I was wrong—they were absolutely right. The food quality was awful across almost all the restaurants. The only decent meal we had was at the Japanese restaurant and a late-night taco cart, which also had the only friendly service. Everywhere else, we had to wait nearly two hours to get a table, and the staff was rude and unaccommodating. The hotel itself is very old and run-down. The pool is in bad shape, with broken tiles and poor maintenance. We paid extra for the Preferred Club (Indigo), thinking it would be worth it, but it was a complete waste of money—especially if you’re traveling with kids. Most of the “upgraded” facilities are adults-only, so families get no real benefit. In short: Don’t go. There are far better hotels in Mexico.

The staff was very helpful. The beach was filthy. I wish this could be made public so people don't book with the intention of swimming at the beach. Also, I would recommend upgrading the housekeeping. We stayed 13 nights and had to keep asking for towels. Also, they only changed bedding twice. But made the beds, which don't make sense. Lastly, I would give it a thumbs up for the staff being very polite and helpful.
