First I want to say I stay at the W whenever I can all over the world from Hong Kong to San Francisco and it’s usually amazing. The confusion between Mandalay, W and the actual W “suite” was the beginning of the problems I had. I booked the W through Expedia was offered an upgrade so I took the upgrade which moved me over to the W suites. Which meant when I tried to have the bell people bring my bags they told me it would be 30 minutes before I got my bags. The room smelled like smoke, which I understand most of Vegas does. The front desk / reception people seemed bored, annoyed and indifferent most of the time. Super unhelpful. Whenever I tried to call for anything on the phone, I was put on hold for a long periods of time or transferred to a loop that was infuriating so I had to go down to the front desk to ask for anything. It won’t stop me from staying at the W other places, but I will never book the W in Vegas again I’m too spoiled by the other w hotels who have clean rooms and top notch service.
