Situated near the Old Village in Vilamoura and surrounded by the Pinhal golf course, the 6-bedroom Villa Camilla has a great, modern décor and sleeps up to 12 guests. This villa is particularly suitable for groups of families and couples or friends looking for great value for money.



On the first floor there are 4 en-suite bedrooms, 3 doubles and one twin, each with a private bathroom and air conditioning. The bedrooms are decorated with vibrant colours and are quite bright and airy. The bathrooms have shower cabins and all the necessary facilities. In the basement there are 2 bedrooms, both with double beds which are nicely decorated too. These rooms are perhaps more suitable for children and young people as they all share a bathroom. In these rooms there is no air conditioning because they are cooler than the rest of the house, still a fan is available in each.



Please note: this property has a 585 euros per stay cleaning fee.

The kitchen is fully equipped with all the necessary appliances such as dishwasher, microwave and even an espresso machine, among others. From the kitchen we have access to the dining area where a large table and an airy, modern décor invites us to sit and enjoy a nice meal. In the living room there's access to the internet via Wi-Fi and cable TV with English spoken channels too. The living room has 2 very large windows to help capture natural light and show the way to the garden and pool area.



Outside you can find a beautiful swimming pool (can be heated upon request), with about 10 by 6 meters. You will also find a wide area with wooden deck to lay down the sun loungers and catch sunshine all day long and a beautiful pergola to provide the necessary shade for al-fresco meals. There is a nice patch of lawn by the charcoal BBQ that is safe for the kids to play in.

More TLC required

We managed to enjoy our 2 week holiday at Villa Camilla but unfortunately we are not able to give a better rating due to the following: 1. No cleaning service provided between the two weeks, despite there being a booklet in the villa explaining that there would be at least two cleans for a stay of over ten days. 2. The decking around the pool was dangerous as several of the planks were loose. A couple of the planks came right up causing a tripping hazard. 3. The external door for the dining room was locked but no key provided. 4. Upstairs there was a fire extinguisher holder and fire sign but no extinguisher. 5. Small tiles from the pool came off. 6. Some of the outdoor wicker chairs were broken. 7. The crockery was mis matched and some plates were cracked. 8. One of the patio doors badly scraped the floor so couldn’t be used. 9. The shower screen door in one of the bedroom ensuites wouldn’t close, causing water spills. We did raise these things with the owner during our stay. Some of these points seem fairly minor but put together with the lack of cleaning and the health and safety issues, we don’t feel that we got value for money. It is a shame because with a little TLC Villa Camilla could host a wonderful family holiday.

Pleasant stay

The villa is lovely. On arrival it would have been good to have some toilet roll available after travelling so long. Breakfast as a family was difficult as there was only 3 bowls for cereal and it would be good to have some plastic plates for small children and also some shading in the garden would be useful as the 1 umbrella was broken. The area is very good and close to everything.
