The Ivy House is centrally located in Garland Hill historic District which is close to restaurants, shopping and downtown amenities. Park your car in the rear courtyard and walk everywhere!
A gated private driveway leads to a beautiful fenced courtyard with 2 screened in porches, a dining deck with gas grill, gardens, and off-street parking for 3-4 cars. The spacious "living" front porch with antique rocking chairs and dining table which seats 15 is surrounded by a formal front garden.
The grand reception hall is a perfect setting for wedding pictures on the unique staircase or in front of the fireplace.
The front to back hallway accesses the living room, formal dining room (seats 15) and the brand-new Victorian kitchen with gas cooktop, double wall ovens, microwave, wine refrigerator, and full compliment of cookery, plus pantry, large laundry room and full bath.
The second floor has 3 enormous bedrooms each with an original fireplace and sitting area, the master bedroom sports a private double vanity bathroom. All 3 bedrooms have king size beds and a daybed.
An open staircase leads to the third floor which has two bedrooms, a family room with a wet bar, and full bath. One bedroom has 2 twin beds, the other has a full sized bed and a twin daybed.
The grand home has central a/c and 2 zone heating. Six fireplaces, window seats, wainscoting, and more.
