The property was well placed next to the capital square. There was no complimentary breakfast since there have a restaurant and bar near the lobby. However, for those in need of their morning coffee there’s a Starbucks located on the north side of the building. The rooms were nice and the staff was very friendly.

I came to Wisconsin for my daughter's admission to the bar from law school and even though I didn't know much of Madison I'm glad I picked here. Even though i came in disheveled and full of tattoos they treated me the same as everyone else. I thought upon walking in they would turn their nose. Starbuck's downstairs and the Capital in the backyard. It couldn't have been more convienent. Also very quiet. My room had a view and the shower was very hot. Thanks!

I love staying here. A bit dated but charming and kept up very well. I enjoy the complimentary cocktails in the governor’s club and the bartender is very likable. He keeps the drinks full and the conversation entertaining. And the library is a nice spot to wind down the night with a little dessert and coffee.
