This is advertised as New Coast. When we got there the hotel had changed its name and was closed. The staff took us to the Diamond hotel in a van. The Diamond hotel Was excellent.

I was truly disappointed with my stay at this hotel. The overall condition of the property is extremely outdated and does not justify the high price being charged. One of the main reasons I booked this hotel was for the swimming pool, only to find it completely out of service — with no alternatives like an indoor pool, sauna, or even a basic wellness facility. To make matters worse, there was ongoing construction work throughout my stay, which was loud and extremely disruptive during the day. It made relaxing in the hotel nearly impossible. What made the whole experience even worse is that my booking was for 6 nights and was non-refundable — otherwise, I would have left after the first night. Unfortunately, this stay was a major letdown and definitely not worth the value

The room looks really nice and the service and staffs are excellent that compliments my concerns. The only complaint I have was the mildew all over the shower and the smell of mildew inside the room was really strong as soon as you come in. I was really concerned because that is health hazard. I told the clean up guy about the molds but he didn’t do anything about it, i guess that’s not his concern and i just left it alone.

That I'm aware this is the best place in this area. It's a former Hyatt. There is a new Sheraton nearby which I haven't stayed at but is also probably good. Big good shopping mall a couple blocks away and good Arab food nearby and my favorite restaurant Casa Armas a few blocks away with Spanish food. The area around the hotel is all kind od honky tonk karaoke bars and generally very low end and down and out and girls on their last dollar. I wouldn't take my wife there. I like this hotel because it's smack in the middle and pool facing rooms are very quiet. My stay was downright cheap. Good value for money.
