The Downtown Den - King Bed, Dog Friendly, Fire Pit, Parking, Family Friendly
"The property is just okay. The owners have modernized the interior, but have overlooked some important details. The dryer door needs to be flipped. That’s a simple 2-minute task. I got hit in the head multiple times taking stuff out of the washer and putting it in the dryer. Depending on height it could cause a serious injury. The towels are nice and fluffy, but the water never got hot and the shower head didn’t have enough pressure. The house needs a deeper cleaning in between stays. We found hair in the sheets. The place stunk of dog. We sprayed Lysol and perfume to try to kill the stench. We did not sit on the couch or use the pullout bed because it was covered in dog hair! Like could not get it off without a shop vac! We do not wear shoes inside and were disgusted by the bottoms of our feet. Floor was sticky. We had to wash our feet before getting in bed each night. Beds are comfortable! Slept well until the upstairs occupanct(s) would decide to walk through their home. You can hear everything going on above you and the traffic was loud at times. The coffee bar was the best part! The kitchen itself is not functional for cooking so don’t plan on that. The location was walkable to town. The next door house is abandoned. House could use some exterior work. Not the best aesthetics. It’s a typical place for the location. Next time we visit the area we will stay somewhere else."
