Nice hotel in very quite part of Malta

The hotel was lovely, clean and the staff were helpful. The Food was excellent and I would recommend you have a meal package if staying. The Hotel is going under some serious construction and so unfortunately we got woke up by workmen each morning around 7am. But the views of the nearby islands and of the coast were very beautiful. There is not much to do around the hotel and you are limited to one other hotel within walking distance. So I would recommend that if you don't want to sit by the pool each day and you want to have choice of other restaurants and bars then this is not the hotel for you. Just come a little further down south to Mellieha Bay and you have so much more. I would love to come back to the Island, the flight is good, the people are lovely but would look to stay further south.

Tatty hotel, underspecified for the number of rooms. Overpriced meals & bar. Carpets filthy & damaged, furniture well-used. Beach tiny & poorly served (although facilities being built while we were there). Room adequate, but stupidly short on power outlets. TV appalling. Constant noise from refrigeration units outside/below. Toilet broke with a known fault that should have been pro-actively prevented. Shower-over-bath sucks - should have a cubicle at 4-star level. Path to bus stop unmade & difficult to negotiate with wheeled luggage. We've stayed at more impressive 2 star UK hotels. Good breakfasts, handy for local beaches & the Gozo ferry.

If your not into AI get a car, you'll need one

The hotel is set in a really stunning part of the coast line behind a remote area of nature reserve. It is easy reach of the ferry to Gozo and boat trips to Contina. Both are a must visit, Both islands can be seen if you get a sea view room, we did, it is worth it. The rooms are spacious and clean (Though ours wasn't ready on arrival at 1400) The AI restaurants food is great for what it is as buffet hot and cold, breakfasts were great. Alang Alang has great local staff, but the menu isn't quite what I expected as an A la carte, though good enough to eat there twice. If you want a gastronomic experience go to Rebekkah's in Melieha. You can book a table and taxi at reception in the hotel, nothing was too much trouble for any staff member. Pools were both clean and enough space to have fun (salt water pools) Malta itself is a stunning jewel in the Med, best kept as a secret..........Travel around it, soak up its culture and histories in all the various towns and cities like Mdins the silent city. Valletta we found a bit grubby and tired....

Wer Ruhe ein schönes Hotel gutes Essen auf Malta sucht ist hier bestens aufgehoben. Die Insel ist nichts für Strandurlauber.Ilike Malta
