The room was clean, but the bathroom door was a sliding door and didn’t fully close. The TV wouldn’t work at first finally came on. Then it would randomly turn off. It wasn’t on a timer or anything like that. It might turn off after 5 minutes or after 70 minutes or any other time.

I recently stayed at the Leonardo Hotel in Munich’s city center and while the staff were truly wonderful—friendly, attentive, and eager to help—the accommodations left much to be desired. The rooms felt outdated and lacked the comfort I expected at this price point. The shower doors didn’t close properly, causing water to leak onto the bathroom floor, and the towels provided were quite small. Amenities were minimal—just shampoo and soap, with no body lotion or other thoughtful touches. For $1500 over four nights, I expected a far more polished and comfortable experience. Sadly, the value just wasn’t there. Despite the excellent staff, I wouldn’t choose this hotel again.

Close to central station and S-bahn to airport (S1 or S8) & efficient check-in after midnight. Check out by midday with baggage hold provided while sightseeing. Breakfast until 10.30 with fully stocked food items and plenty of tables. Comfortable beds. Sliding coloured glass doors between bedroom/bathroom were a bit noisy. Overall good price for facilities & friendly staff.
