When I made the reservation - I booked a handicapped room as I am temporarily wheelchair bound. I also declared that we would have our dog with us. The purpose of our trip was to pickup two rescue dogs for transport back to Texas. When I did their online checkin the day prior - I again reemphasized the handicapped room and that we would have our dog with us. When we arrived - I asked the clerk if the room was handicapped as it was on the 2nd floor. He said “no but it’ll work”… Long story short - THIS ROOM DIDNT WORK!!!
The bathroom entry was wayyyy small AND the door dragged on the floor .,. This made it extremely difficult for me to manage with a broken leg as I couldn’t get into the bathroom.
Early the next morning - approx 0600 AM, the rescue dogs were dropped off to us at the hotel.
When we checked out - I had them with me and explained that they had been dropped off that morning. The clerk gave me the receipt and we started our 12hour drive home. I checked the receipt and put it away. About 2-3hours later I received an alert from my AX card.
THE HOTEL HAD GONE BACK AND CHARGED ME $25 FOR EACH RESCUE PUP!!! They didn’t even spend the night!! They were dropped off, we checked out and left.
ALSO NOTE - the website states $15 pet charge NOT $25 …..
