Staff and services need to get much better. We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights and they didn’t care much about customer service. For instance, I had to call the staff to replenish the soap in the bathroom: you just can’t ignore basics service such as hygiene. Besides, as a Marriott lifetime Gold member they charged me for the faster internet service, which was supposed to be free, and when I called to have the charges reversed the customer agent simply refused to do it and she was quite disrespectful. I had to ask for the statement and I ended up calling Marriott main office to dispute those charges and they agreed to it. This has been my worst experience at a Marriott property over the last 2 decades.

This is a no frills hotel. You get a bed, you get a bathroom. but only 2 elevators for 30 floors and the staff has to hold one of them for cleaning half the time makes getting to your room a hassle. Otherwise the staff was fine. My room was clean. The bathroom is passable but only barely. The hot water takes a good 2-5 mins to heat up, even on not busy shower times. But if you want to be near shopping, subway, bryant park, the location is amazing. So its a trade off.
