We stayed at Hollywood Mirage for 3 weeks - working & holiday. Room was really good (had a duplex 1 bedroom apartment) had all we needed and a fantastic view out to sea. Reception staff very helpful. Pool staff great (went to pool 3) little bar at pool 3 was really good. Our lady who cleaned our room was fantastic - a very lovely stay

Lovely hotel, quite dated now, needs a little tlc. Amazing views from hotels. Crazy hills but already knew that breakfast was ok, could have done with being warmer. Few activities around the pool. Very very quiet in the evenings.

A short but pleasant stay

Our accommodation was lovely and spacious with great views of the pool, sea and glorious sunsets. The staff were mostly pleasant and helpful - but there wasn’t a lot of information given at the check in (it was quite busy though ) and we were chastised by a member of the dining room staff for not having a room card at dinner (which it turned out we were not given - in error - at check in ) Also, we didn’t know about paying extra for the barbecue menu on Wednesday night….which we would have been happy to do… but we had chosen from the regular menu before we realised there was an option. We discovered that there was a microwave for guests to use to reheat their food (which was sometimes a little colder than I would have liked) but not til day 3. The dining room staff could be a little more informative and helpful. One or two staff stood out as being very customer friendly - one of the bar men that served us lunch on our first day, and the reception staff who handled enquiries very efficiently. Overall, there was a relaxed and friendly atmosphere - many guests we met have visited on previous occasions and they were very happy to return. The complimentary bus service to the beach was excellent and there was nightly entertainment. After dark it was quiet and we were not disturbed on any night. I would return to this hotel - and enjoy it even better now that I know the rules!

Good stay at Hollywood Mirage (Jan’25)

We (couple late-20s) had a good stay at Hollywood Mirage at the end of January (four nights), the hotel is cheap and cheerful. The hotel is at the top of a large hill and a ~15/20 min walk from the beach, we didn’t mind this but something to be mindful of. The grounds were easy to get around and the ‘basic’ room was a good size with all required amenities (bath towels, kitchen utensils, fridge freezer, iron). There was an extra cost for use of the safe. We booked a room with a Queen Bed but this turned out to be two big-single beds pushed together (we were hoping for a single queen mattress), but this wasn’t too bad for four nights. Three pools to choose from, all of which were well maintained. There is an extra charge for pool/beach towels (we bought our own). Staff were friendly and pool side entertainment was good. Parking is free on the streets surrounding the hotel. There is a supermarket on site or just down the road, we opted for no food/drink included and instead made use of the kitchen facilities in the room when eating/cooking. Would recommend for a cheap trip away and would recommend getting a car to explore the area.

I had such a wonderful experience at this hotel! The location and views are truly beautiful, which made my stay even more enjoyable. The food on the property was fantastic, and I loved how close it was to exciting places like Siam Park, Jungle Park, and the beach. Being near the center of Los Cristianos meant there was always something to do. I also appreciated the peaceful evenings, which allowed me to relax and unwind. I can't recommend this hotel enough; I’m definitely looking forward to booking another stay soon!

the hotel is at the back of the resort and on a hill, it is easily recognised by its roofline and thus you can find it to walk back too. the apartment, was spacious, in good condition, clean and well decorated and provisioned. swimming pools were clean and had life guards all day, but unheated. Breakfast offered a great range of items covering all tastes. overall a wonderful place to stay, and I would fully recommend, so long as you are mobile. although there are some lifts, there are lots of steps and steep ramps, and it is located at the top end of town, though a shuttle bus runs up and down to the beach almost hourly.

It was good value and generally happy given what we paid but it is definitely in need of refurbishment and not a 4 star standard. The spiral staircase to the bedroom was a bit precarious given the proximity to the bathroom, we were very careful not to have wet feet. The bathrooms in particular, whilst in working order, were not in a good state of repair. The staff were lovely and it was clean and and tidy around the grounds. Not suitable if you're not good with walking hills.

Please bring back the original all Cuban entertainment team. The current team did not hit the mark compared. The weekly towel change is very poor as towels get wet and dirty every day. The move from daily to weekly is not helpful. Love the gym and SPA. As an owner we are always treated very well and have our requests met. Jon on reception (the original crew) is always helpful and welcoming. Thank you

Staff friendly and helpful. Location on top of hill, so if you limited in fitness beware. Short walk from restaruants, 15min walk to waterfront, fre bus shuttle to nice safe city beach. Rooms spacious but dated, broken tiles, locks on balcony doors falling apart, broken tiles in bathrooms, water from shower corner was coming up from the bathroom floor drain etc. Sleep: pillows very uncomfortable and should be changed immediately, I felt (similar to my orevious stays) that bed mattress not great but thats subjective. Nevertheless good bed is one of tge most important things in a hotel. Pools/overal ambience of venue pleasant, some rooms like our had nice views, some less. Breakfast/dinner basic to fair but I guess reasonable for the price. Staff friendly. One scam is that when you book online at hotels.com the room description lists room ammenities (safe, hairdrier, limited housekeeping, microwave etx) yet when you arrive at the hotel they without any discussion charge you if you want to use safe. I consider this cheap cheating as they should make it clear in room description (Like safe(extra charge)). I complained but noone got back to apologise or rectify this. Its my 3rd stay there and I have to praise the staff being friendly and helpful but it seems the owners run the place on the cheap, do only unavoidable repairs and set hotel policies which are revenue oriented rather then customer as top priority.
