Check in person was direct, friendly, anticipatory, and welcoming. Room was clean, nicely designed, building cute! I don’t know why more hotels aren’t like this - high quality, slightly small but just what you need for sleeping/spending a little time in the room. I will book again, excellent value.

Disappointing all around

The HGU was really disappointing. Very few basic expectations for a hotel were met, and the amenities for which I specifically booked were not available. The restaurant had just closed (permanently under new management) and the terrace was not open for the duration of our stay, despite it being gorgeous weather all three days. It seems it is only open seasonally, with that description being very subjective. None of the rooms have luggage racks, and despite asking several times I never received one. They also did not offer wine glasses when asked. Lastly, the air conditioner in our room was extremely loud to where we couldn't leave it on overnight, then had the issue of not being able to open windows for cooler air.

I dont understand the low ratings for this hotel. But when my wife and I did an unplanned trip to nyc, we booked this hotel and it was amazing. Cant complaint about anything except the sink was too big that it was way too close to the toilet, forcing you to learn a bit forward when you sit on it. Other than that, the room was client and comfortable, the location was amazing. Most important of all was the staff.
