This hotel was in a great spot if you will be seeing theatre in the Times Sq area. Check out Little Brazil mini neighborhood just East of 6th Ave cross streets in the mid 40's. Great Portuguese/Brazilian food. For our 4 day NY stay it was bitter cold January low 20's with windchill in the teens. Our room had an old window AC unit that did not provide heat. In fact there was a steady draft which made the room too cool. Hotel staff tried to help but did not fix the situation. I expected too much from a $120/night rate. Barely adequate but convenient to theater.

The property and location was amazing. My only complaint is the bathroom is quite small. The toilet is right up against the wall and there is a shower curtain instead of glass doors which is kind of gross. Otherwise the entire stay was great.

The convenience of the hotel was a huge plus. Being RIGHT next door to a convenient type store was great. The only reason I give it 3 stars is because the mattress in my room was absolutely horrible. There was a HUGE dip that I sunk into and being so uncomfortable caused me to wake up multiple times. I even rotated the bed and had the same problem. It was extremely difficult to be comfortable and sleep.

We were unlucky in that we had a room facing the street on the second floor. You can hear everything and it's right next to times square so it's noisy all night. Our room also had a radiator that constantly hissed. A gas leak on the street had to have an emergency repair at 1am while we were trying to sleep. Overall the location is convenient but if you there is room you should ask to be higher and away from the street if possible.

Location is key! The hotel is older and no frills, but served our purposes. Clean, spacious enough for mom/daughter. Basic bathroom toiletries, hair dryer, safe, iron, ironing board. Staff is friendly. Allowed early check in and held our bags after checkout before we headed to airport.

Fantastic location but that’s about it, hotel old and grotty, clean enough but old creaky beds that wake you every time you move, windows old and draughty and totally unsuitable for this location, street noise was awful, bathroom really old and probably the smallest I have ever seen and totally impractical for 4 people! Zero facilities in this hotel, they have a bar but it doesn’t open, you literally can’t get as much as a glass of water. Definitely would never stay here again

Great hotel

I think this is a great hotel if you coming to the city for a couple of days to see Time Square and broadway shows. The rooms are very basic and small. But very close to food and coffee places.

Bathroom locked and someone from hotel had to come up and use a screwdriver to open it. Also, loud construction noise into the night, but property manager addressed this on check-out and offered a discount for next stay- a refund would have been preferred, but I guess because I didn’t book directly, she couldn’t do that.

Our room was up to date and not old style like the lobby looks. Room was clean and decent size compared to a few other hotels I’ve stayed at in the area. My biggest complaint about the room is that there was no A/C in the room the temp was controlled by the hotel. At night, my room was hot enough for me to sweat when going to sleep. I was told I could open my window which I did and the room wasn’t cool really till morning. Then we woke up really early to construction work going on cause of the window being open and the loud machines. Hot water was a little hard to get in the shower. Had to really play with the shower handle to get it hot and I’m sure the room next to me had the same problem cause I could hear them in the restroom one morning with the water turning off and on trying to get the right spot for hot water.
