If you're looking for a hotel that is close to Grand Central and in the heart of Times Square, you cannot beat the location of the Millenium. That being said, while the location is stellar, the amenities are outdated and the hotel does not offer much more than a place to rest your head at night. Check in took for-ev-ver. When we finally go to the room, there were only two lights and one of them didn't work (light between the beds). Of the several outlets we could find, only two of them worked, one of which was in the bathroom. None of the drawers in the dresser or nightstand would stay shut and remained open for the full three days. The bathroom didn't have a fan so as soon as you showered the entire space filled with steam and you couldn't see in the mirror. You could also see a ring of something (mold? dirt? filth?) on the inside top of the sink. Again, nothing was catastropic but for the outrageous rate I paid to stay there, I would have thought I would have gotten something a bit more than what you'd find in your average Holiday Inn.
