"This hotel is exactly what I needed after taking the Tranzalpine over from Christchurch. The front staff was so friendly and answered all questions I had, as a tourist in Western NZ during winter. The room was incredibly easy to get comfortable in, and the heat was welcoming. The AC worked as well but given the temperature during my stay the heat obviously most used. I walked down to the Tasman sea which is less than a 5 minute stroll from the property, almost all on sidewalk. I can not recommend this hotel enough and would stay here again when I’m back."
