Although the hotel is dated, it is in a great location. The Metro is just outside the door. The staff were super friendly. the rooms were clean and value is great. Very centrally located. Notre Dame is a 20 minutes walk. Republic Square were the hotel is located is a very lively area with many good value restaurants around. Don't expect a 5 star hotel but you will definitely feel welcome. We will definitely go back next time we are in Paris

Convenient Location!

Nice stay right by a metro station which makes traveling the city very convenient. The room was a bit small but had everything you need for your stay. There was a door attendant all night which made us feel secure. The air conditioning wasn’t the best.

We stayed here in early June and had a deeply unsettling experience. On our first night, I woke up to hear two men speaking inside our hotel room—specifically, in our bathroom. I was shocked to find that it was the hotel manager and another staff member doing maintenance inside the room without knocking or notifying us. They claimed they didn’t know the room was occupied, despite us checking in earlier that afternoon and following the hotel’s key return process. I reported this at the front desk and was met with indifference. The receptionist questioned why I was telling him and made no effort to acknowledge what had happened. I raised the issue again before check-out, but nothing was done. No apology. No follow-up. No accountability. I would not recommend this hotel based on no regard whatsoever for basics guest privacy and the lack of professionalism in handling it.

The hotel rooms were large and clean, and staff were very helpful. There are plenty of dining options around the area (would recomend the walk to the canal St Martin). Also the travel options from Republique metro are vast (can get to Eiffel Tower, Louvre and Notre Dame on one line). The probable downside would be the area can be very loud at night, but it is part of staying in this area. It is I believe where most Parisians visit.
