This is a beautiful hotel to stay at if you are going to enjoy all the amenities that it offers. We absolutely loved out stay here but we went to patong a lot and island hopping so we did not spend much time at the hotel. If you are planning to relax and stay at the hotel in a quiet area, I would recommend staying here

Staff are friendly and there are two pools that my kids can access! So far we enjoyed the resort and will recommend this resort to our friends! My kids also attended the kid club, although the club is slightly small but the staff are super friendly too!

Although I loved my stay at the Avista hideaway I disliked the fact that the hotel did not offer an option for a late checkout. My flight was not until 11pm and checkout was a noon. Upon asking the front desk to at least stay until 5 or 6pm they told me they were going to be at full capacity and then said I could pay 1000 Baht per hour to keep my room. So basically they had the space if I paid but didn’t if we did not pay?…it was very disappointing to experience this at the end of a good stay.

If you’re considering a stay at Avista Hideaway, think again! My experience was nothing short of a nightmare. On the very first night, I discovered a blood stain on my bed. Yes, you read that right—BLOOD. When I notified the staff, they took their sweet time, making me wait at least 30 minutes before addressing the issue. Unbelievable! You’d expect a swift response, but it felt like they couldn’t care less about my comfort or safety. As if that wasn’t bad enough, I then faced the most frustrating situation on my last night: no running water for a shower. Imagine being utterly sweaty and uncomfortable, desperately wanting to freshen up after a long day. It was absolutely unbearable! To top it all off, the hotel didn’t even bother to offer any compensation for these atrocious inconveniences. Management needs to act swiftly and take responsibility for their guests’ well-being. Instead, they left me feeling ignored and unvalued. Overall, this so called '5 star luxury resort' is a prime example of neglect and poor service. Save yourself the headache and avoid this place at all costs!

This is one of my absolutely favorite hotels in the entire world! The staff at the hotel is like family away from home. They take great care of every single guest, and they make you feel like you’re a part of their family! Today we did a walking trail tour to freedom Beach hosted by the hotel with our tour guide Opp, who was fantastic!!! Oop was fun, friendly knowledgeable, and communicated so wonderfully with us! He was a lot of fun and I can see why the hotel puts the tours and activities in his hands for safekeeping. He really makes sure the guests have a great, fun, and adventurous experience. We have done so many other things here ant the hotel, including swimming, eating and drinking and just relaxing, and everyone has been fantastic. In fact, here are the names of the people that I want to acknowledge at the hotel, among many others, who have been like family to us making sure that our vacation was an unforgettable one: Nam, Vivy, Emmy, Brownie, Matt, Elia, Toey, Hanna and last but certainly not least, Philipp. A special word about Phillip - He has made this vacation and this entire trip the best vacation I’ve had in decades by being so concerned for my happiness and well-being and just ensuring that I celebrated my birthday in a spectacular way!!!! Everyone at the hotel has been extraordinary. I love how scenic the views are how serene and quiet and tranquil the location is; and I especially love how well taken care of the entire hotel property is.
