Mouse in the house/poop in the bowl!

Front desk employee was very helpful at check-in, even when I returned to advise a mouse was running around the room (had picture on my cell phone)! Clerk advised would comp the parking fee & move me to another room. The room "looked" clean (fresh towels/toiletries, beds made), but there was feces in the commode & trash in the can in the bedroom. I went back to to the front desk (with more pictures) & asked that I be given a significant discount upon checkout the next day (was running late for a meeting). Clerk said he would document my file with the reason for the discount. I was charged the parking fee & something else that I didn't recognize, & given what I think was a minimal discount for the room rate. I called on 2 separate days to speak with a manager but had to leaves messages. Still no call back.

Chosen due to proximity to PNC Field. Breakfast was good and room/facilities clean and comfortable. Little to no dining in area, but Lyft to downtown very reasonable.

Check in was fine they were informative about the amenities of the hotel, When we got to our room it was mostly clean but the chair in the corner had some interesting looking stains that we didn’t care to find out what they were. When we came back from an event we stepped out of the elevator to a mouse running around the hallway and it tried to run into our room. The bed was very firm but we were so tired we didn’t care. The hotel also isn’t the most ergonomic considering the check in is on the first floor but the parking lot is on the second floor so you have to take an elevator just to check in.

I would definitely not stay here again. The neighborhood is trash. Right by a loud highway and frequent police sirens. People sleeping on the sidewalk outside some obviously strung out. Others arguing loudly in the street. Overall sketchy neighborhood. The stairway was closed for no apparent reason. Had to wait for a slow elevator. Came back to check in and there were four other parties waiting while there was a note on the desk. This was around 9pm. We finally get the room. Smelled musty. Water rings on the side table. Bed looked thrown together. It just looked and smelled funky.
