Very nice city Break

Great hotel!

Pros: Great room , great location , quiet room
Cons: Better communication on check in from the staff
This hotel was a great find. The location is great , it's only 20 minutes walk from New Town and 35 minutes or so from the Old a Town. There is also a subway station 5 or so minutes away. The room was large, a lobby , bedroom and bathroom. The bed really comfy, allowed me to sleep in! The breakfast I never sampled as it was about 250Kr , it's cheaper to go to the shop a few minutes walk away, they sell lovely pastries. Just one thing to be cautious of. I wasn't told of the charge on coffee provided in the room. I had my fill and was charged 300Kr on checking out. I'd have bought coffee at the shop for a fraction of the cost. I wasn't told of this charge on checking in , but when I signed the form on entry , it was mentioned in there, so read the form ! Apart from that, great hotel would highly recommend

Good hotel near center town

I don't find true some negative comments on the hotel: I was very well informed about the minibar costs. Good value for the paid money.

Nice hotel

Nice hotel, spacious room, good breakfast. Although located still central, it's a quite area. We found it strange that tea and coffee in the room had to be paid separately.

Wonderful Hotel - superb service

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Alqush. The service was exceptional and friendly, in particular the concierge staff and the waitresses at breakfast. The quality of the room was first class and was maintained at that level. Our only small regrets were the lack of a BBC channel, the lack of a bar/lounge at the hotel - and it is a little far out from the city centre although we always walked into the city. However we would not hesitate to use the Alqush again. We have already recommended the hotel to a friend

Fantastic single person 1 week trip

Excellent staff on arrival gave all information to do with hotel and answered questions I had about location and where to eat in the locality of hotel, although did not give recommendations as food is a matter for the individual. Room was extremely spacious and found it to be a perfect hotel for a romantic get away, couldn't fault it for cleanliness or staff. Hotel is perfectly situated to get around the city,20 minutes furthest walk to most of the places you want to see and closer still to others. This is not a flat city and would recommend comfortable walking shoes or trainers, some of the footpaths and streets are cobbled so high heels are not a good idea although I did see a few ladies in heels the number was small. In summary, would totally recommend this hotel and plan to return myself. An awesome experience :-)

Great for central Prague two night stay.

We traveled here for two nights as a couple for an anniversary. We used public transport from the Airport catching the 119 bus to Devickia and then the metro line A to Muzeum and changing to line C for one stop to IP Pavlova. All for 32 Koruna (about £1). A short walk down Legerova to the hotel was only about 10 mins. On arrival check in is at the Alqush hotel but we were directed to the joining hotel Amigo where the rooms are. Staff were very helpful and provided a map and tour info etc. The room, on the 4th floor, was very clean and nicely decorated with quality furniture and bedding also remote controlled air con. The bed was firm but very comfortable and spacious. Nice large pillows were appreciated a change from some hotels where a small single pillow is the norm. Room had a mini bar and it was noted coffee was also charged for which is new on me. Bathroom was clean with shower only which we prefer. room was very comfortable throughout stay. Breakfast was in the basement Restaurant which was a very nice selection of hot and cold food eggs, sausage, bacon,toast etc as well as plenty of tea and coffee. All replaced regularly by helpful staff. The hotel staff will also order reliable taxis at decent prices to the city if required however it is only a 20 minute walk to the top of Wenseclas Square. All in all a pleasant stay.

Affordable luxury

15 minutes walk to Wecleslas Square. Lovely well decorated room with a luxurious feel. Nice selection of both hot and cold food on the breakfast buffet with a bit of variation each day. Very limited choice of T.V. channels.
