The only real problems is that they have one permanent bar plus one portable setup by the pool Bar service was terribly slow at most times. Drink quantity of alcohol was terrible

Overall, it's a very nice maybe 3-star all-inclusive, at least for Cabarete (vs say Punta Cana). The room itself was clean and bed comfortable, but needs upgrade and repair - faucet was loose, screen door to patio was jammed, TV reception was unwatchable. Food was 2-star at the buffet, maybe 3-star at the reservation-only restaurants (of which you can only go to 3 times per week). But beach was great - no snorkeling, but perfect for playing in the surf, or watersports. I was there specifically for kiteboarding, and Cab did not disappoint! Some negatives - if you happen to get a room near the road, it will be very noisy from all the motorbikes. Also note that the "exploring opportunities" are basically limited to the walking the beach - the main street and town are pretty rough and dirty. But some pretty fun little bars and restaurants up and down the beach. Would I recommend? If you're looking for Punta Cana caliber opulence, then you'll need to offer them some latitude. But for the value, it's a solid choice.

We stayed in a room above the main building (lobby, buffet, bar, etc. ). It was so loud all night. The resort can feel very clogged in areas as it’s all together in one spot. So hence, very noisy and not quiet and relaxing. The food was okay nothing to rave about. The beach is enjoyable, very busy with people kite surfing, walking and sun tanning. The local town was enjoyable to walk to by beach or road and we enjoyed visiting cafes or getting ice cream.

I usually don’t write reviews or just let it slide but not with this one. This resort is below average! The resort is nothing like they depicted online. The rooms that we booked was not the one given to us at the time of check in. Every time we asked for water bottles to be brought to the room they hesitated and never brought the amount that we asked for. The food variety was limited, cold and lacked flavor. Customer service needs to improve and the resort overall. There are better options out there.

The pictures depicted online, such as the rooms, did not look like what was expected. In addition, the food was cold/melted and lacked flavor. While there were many food options, most of them did not represent the culture of the island itself. Furthermore, at one point of the trip I had asked for urgent medical service and it took the staff over 45 minutes to bring someone to the room. Last but not least, the staff could’ve done a better job at cleaning; the bed sheets I was provided with had a foul odor coming from them.

Staff hard working and helpful. Property in a great location for my needs. Property is showing wear and year with mold growth in the spa and hallways of main building. Food was meh but I wasn't able to try the restaurants other than buffet. Property was very safe and staff were vigilant in making sure no trespassers.

Smallest resort I have ever been at. Clean rooms and mostly friendly staff. Food is absolutely terrible. Although the resort is all inclusive, we went out to eat and paid for our dinners every night.

I returned home from my stay at viva about 2 days ago. If you are looking for a quiet resort, where nights wind down pretty early, then this is the place for you. The food wasn’t my favorite, but others seemed to enjoy it for the most part. If i’m being honest my favorite part was the Staff, specifically Wanda and Alfredo at the Reception desk were the most helpful during my whole experience at this resort. They continued to go above and beyond to help me and my family in anyway we needed. They apologized for any inconveniences and problems that we had during our stay. Extremely professional and friendly. The Animation Crew in charge of all the fun activities and things at the resort were also so inviting and fun ! Honestly the staff made the experience what it was, without them I wouldn’t consider going back. Loved Loved Loved the staff !!
