Older resort that needs some upkeep. Do not get a family room they all face into the city and our room smelt of mold. The pool were nice but had broken drains with pilots cover holes that could hurt someone. Alacarts were very difficult to get into but the food was very good if you did get in. The buffet at breakfast had huge lines and wait times. Buffet at lunch and supper lacked options, did not have a good selection of fresh or premiere ingredients. Utilized hot dogs as a substitute for too many things. Family atmosphere was the best part of the resort.

The first room we had we changed because it had an inch of standing water in the sink and the A/C wouldn't go below 79 degrees Farenheit. The handle to the shower door was broken as well as the soap holder in the shower too. They gave us an "upgraded" room and said they would give us a bed for our 3rd person. They NEVER gave us the bed, despite us asking THREE times! Also, ocean very DIRTY and rocky at this property.

Our room had broken curtain rods, toilet not working not clean, shower what else is wrong with the property was dirty. I saw here in the bathroom. Leaky faucet pipes, stained sheets, old and outdated. Not as pictured on the website. Let me finish the skating report.

From the minute we arrived we had issues. We were provided a room that was already occupied. Luckily the person in the room was not there otherwise we would have walked in on them. We booked two rooms and requested that they be near each other which was not the case. They got the rooms situated the next day however the AC was not working well in one of the rooms. Maintenance was notified but nothing was done. The rooms have limited outlets so it was disappointing when one of the outlets (the one by the nightstand) was missing and could not be used. No clear information was provided about the restaurant reservation system. The patio door does not lock, which is a safety concern. Even their manager recommended that a complaint be filed with Orbitz so that something can be done about all of the issues. The only good thing is that the property is near the airport.

Hotel Review: Disappointing Stay Despite Wonderful Staff I recently stayed at this hotel, and unfortunately, it did not meet expectations. The property itself is very outdated, and major issues impacted our stay. The biggest problem was the air-conditioning — it was not working in our room. After being switched to another room, and then yet another, the issue remained unresolved. In the heat, this made our stay uncomfortable and frustrating. The food at the hotel was also a letdown. Most of it tasted old or stale, and the dining options lacked variety and freshness. The only place we truly enjoyed eating was the snack bar located outside by the beach — it was consistently good and offered a nice escape from the poor quality of the main restaurants. On a positive note, the hotel staff was absolutely amazing. Despite being clearly understaffed, they worked hard to keep guests happy. When we arrived, only one receptionist was handling check-ins, and I noticed just a single lifeguard moving between multiple pools. The entertainment team also deserves special mention — they did an outstanding job organizing activities around the pool and hosting fun shows at the Nitro Club. The Fantasy Show for kids was a personal favorite. While I truly appreciate the kindness and effort of the staff, the overall hotel conditions, poor food quality, and lack of basic amenities like functioning air-conditioning made this a disappointing experience. I would not stay here again.

I think for families visiting this property, the highlight is the water park and kids club. The kids show we attended was fun. Our room was clean and had a nice view. We were not greeted on arrival and our check in process was quick. The food is average. Probably would try another hotel next time we visit Puerto Vallarta.
