Easy to walk to downtown area or ride scooters. The breakfast was good, the beer garden was fun. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was because the beds were not comfortable.

Property is in a good location. People were mostly nice. The food was pretty average and expensive (like everywhere). Room was clean and comfortable, location was okay. We stayed at several hotels during our two weeks and this was one of the more expensive accommodations but the boutique hotels were much more enjoyable based on location, room, and service--and tended to be cheaper. They also charged to store my bag between stays a nightly rate--I guess even the closet space is expensive. So it was okay, but not my favorite.

Hotel was clean and comfortable. Plenty of parking near by which was good for the car rental. Breakfast was pretty good too. Very short walk to the city center. Overall a great stay

I inquired about having an upgrade in my room to be able to see the ocean and I was staying there for four days. They charged me $40 to check in early so there was no benefits in being part of your program.

My only complaint with the property was the lack of central air conditioning. You would think that wouldn’t be a problem in Iceland but we were on the 7th floor and it was hot inside our room. There was a small window that we opened but it didn’t really help. The hotel is convenient to the waterfront and there is a bus stop right outside if you book tours. The brewpub had good food and a large selection of beers on tap and the hotel bar was good too.

Although I did not use this service, it seemed like this hotel was good for tours. It was a little out of the busy city so easy for large bus pick up but a little less convenient for me to walk into the city.

Love the Fosshotel!

Wow, we loved most everything about the hotel, including the “thermostat” which had electonic buttons for opening and closing the window. So nice to have fresh air at will. Was a little confused about how to use the bathtub…the tub is beautiful but water pressure a bit lacking for a nice soak in the tub. All of that said, the staff was excellent and helpful, from storing our luggage until check in and after checkout. The heated floors in the bathroom, high ceilings, mini fridge, and comfy beds with lovely bedding were a huge plus!

This was such a great stay. It was very comfortable, with great dining options. The breakfast was very good and plentiful. It was a 15 minute walk to Rainbow Road where all the shoppy shops are. All the staff were so nice. We had a lovely time!

This hotel is in a great location and the staff was fantastic. However, there is no AC so you have to sleep with the windows open. In the summer, with almost 24 hours of daylight, this can be a challenge. Also, you hear people yelling and talking outside ALL night long. This also goes for vehicles traveling up and down the street. Bring earplugs and a fan :)

Generally speaking, the property is fine as far as its food and cleanness. The only thing that I want the hotel to improve is the curtain. The curtain is not dark enough. It is hard to keep asleep when the sun is outside 24 hours a day during the summer.
