The city-view rooms really need updating, and they are small. They seem smaller than the size stated on the website. They do not offer any free upgrades as stated on the Expedia website. The restaurants are good but very expensive. Not as good as other Fairmont hotels. Customer service could definitely be improved.

We arrived to be given an accessible room which we had not asked for and didn’t want. It also had a tiny corner balcony. We were told there was no alternative other than a twin room. We had paid a lot of money for king room with a sea view. The bar and pool area get very busy and you have to ask for a table each time even as a guest - they have a rope to cordon off the area. Most staff were lovely but on a couple of occasions became aware of staff talking about us and laughing at us. The rooms are getting a little tired and housekeeping only seem to do the bare minimum. We had a storm one night which bought dirt and debris onto the balcony. This wasn’t mopped for the rest of the time we were there. A huge shout out to the guys that greet you when you arrive at the entrance. A lovely warm welcome - they were wonderful. Overall, we certainly don’t think we got value for money and certainly wouldn’t return

Overall, I really recommend this hotel. About 95% of the staff were courteous, kind, and genuinely happy to help, which made the stay very enjoyable. The only downside was the remaining 5%—a few employees who didn’t smile, didn’t greet guests, and seemed bothered when asked for anything. In particular, some of the pool bar staff consistently looked like they disliked their job, which was disappointing. That said, everything else was excellent: the location is perfect, the rooms are beautiful, and the cocktails were great quality. I would absolutely stay here again.
